ha as soon as I read that they were looking at him to play 9 I was like this has to be a joke then checked the date.

One of the issues with tupou is that with his current fitness you cant really put him on the bench...if your starting tight head goes down in the first 20 mins he's just not going to get over the finish line. Your best bet is to get 35 45 mins out of him until he runs out of gas. But honestly...

    Wallabies 2025

Agree with most of this but:- 1. I'd have Nonggorr ahead of Robertson and De Luttis. I think he's better than Robertson in basically every aspect of play. De Luttis a tad inexperienced. 2. For me BPA is a lock, ahead of Pollard and Porecki. 3. Gleeson instead of Leota 4. Potter instead of Kellaway

    Wallabies 2025

Guys are going to be breathing heavy and fatigued in the last quarter of the game. If they're arent, they aren't trying hard enough honestly. I definitely would have agreed with the sentiment in previous seasons where the Aussie team would so often fall to pieces in the final 20 minutes, but it...

    Queensland Reds 2025

Question - is it legal for the opposition jumper to jump across into the opposition line. I always thought that was illegal. Saw the force do that on one occasion last night and were rewarded with the turnover

    Reds v Force 7pm Sat 29th March, Rd 7

For me it was hard to judge to much from the 10s given the conditions, but id have to say donaldson never really imposed himself on the game. Not great conditions but as the 10 he probably has to bare some of the blame for the force being unable to capitalise on their possession

    Reds v Force 7pm Sat 29th March, Rd 7

I cant argue with the sentiment from force fans that they probably have won. Id feel the same way. As a reds fan im hoping it speaks more to a win culture / mentality that comes with consistent success. They did the same thing to the force earlier in the season and managed to come from behind...

Reds need wilson, mcreight and faessler back on the field if they are going to take advantage of their place on top of the ladder

Enjoyed the game. Initial thoughts: - looking at the team sheets ill admit i was worried about this one and my concerns were warranted. Force outplay reds for large portions of that game..the less said about the lineout the better. Still the sign of a great side is being able to pull out a win...

Hurricanes vs Waratahs Super Rugby R7 2025 - Friday 28 March

Thoughts on the game: -I thought the tahs were playing ok for the first 55 odd minutes until the wheels fell off. The canes clearly had a plan to attack the breakdown and the tahs just couldnt get any momentum. I thought the refs probably let the canes get away with a bit too much at the...

    Wallabies 2025

Sorry but this is nonsense. I'd agree that after six round Donaldson and Lynagh have shown better form that Lolesio. That's not really that hard given that Lolesio has only played 3 games this season (only one of which the Brumbies lost btw). If you want to make the argument that Donaldson...

Hurricanes vs Waratahs Super Rugby R7 2025 - Friday 28 March

I understand your point in terms of questioning sualii's selection at 13, but i definitely think this is the kind of game where sualii could really shine. Canes tend to play a bit more unstructured and sualii's natural ability should shine in a more free flowing games. He seems to have the knack...

Hurricanes vs Waratahs Super Rugby R7 2025 - Friday 28 March

Canes strong favourite with the bookies and should be. Id be pleasantly shocked if the tahs managed to win this.

Surprised to see O'Donnell out of the side. Thought he's look great over the last few weeks.

    Wallabies 2025

I think that's where I'd be leaning too. We seem to have an abundance of good wingers and but there's not many guys really knocking down the door to fill that other centre spot. Paisami is experienced and solid but perhaps a little one dimensional. Sua'ali'i definitely has the size and physicality...

    Force v Drua Round 6

I think it mostly speaks to the strength of the como this year rather than a indictment on the drua. The blues, the defending champs are level with them on 7 points. One area i thought the drua were lacking was the breakdown. The top 7 teams on the ladder are all competing so hard and...

Potter really shone again today for the Force... he's firming as my choice for the 23 jersey for the Lions series. I dont know a lot about the guy's career. His wiki says he plays wing, FB and centre. Could he cover centre at a pinch?

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

I get all of that and in the perfect world we'd be adding more teams not the other way round. But there is also the reality of where the sports is in 2025 in australia. I think its much better for RA and its more conducive to building the fan base to have less teams if it means they a more...

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

i made a comment on this thread back before the season started to the effect that i was particularly excited for the upcoming season in light of the fact that the consolidation of the australian teams down from 5 to 4 meant theorethically better depth and a more competitive comp. The only...
