All Blacks & All Blacks XV EOYT 2024

It's especially odd given how he lol nope'd retiring 202-capped Crusader Wyatt Crockett out of the 2018 Super Rugby final in Christchurch. This was the reason why I believed we'd have some 2004 level turnover, at least on the EOYT. EDIT: And Crockett was dropped in favour of Tim Perry, of all people.

Holland at lock would be good to see as well. Seems more likely than Lam anywhere, but idk how much more likely. Could even noodle Barrett over to blindside... EDIT: Or onto the bench with Tuipulotu.

Can't believe they're putting out more soppy talk about fArEwElL mAtCh for Cane and Perenara. Isn't this why we had to put up with Perenara's absolute shitter of an effort in Wellington? It's done. Move on. There's nothing to be gained from another test of Perenara's arm flapping and Cane's up...

Doesn't suit the style of 10 Robertson wants, unfortunately. Hopefully this improves the likelihood of the Blues retaining Zarn Sullivan. EDIT: Stuck with Barrett until 2027. Fuck me. I'd forgotten it was that long. No wonder Cashmore left.

du Pont enjoyers en shamblés in the face of Roigard. Still can't believe Foster selected Christie ahead of him for the RWC final.

Rare Hurricanes fan W. I'd be much more tolerable of Beauden's nonsense if we also didn't have to suffer it at the Blues as it becomes year-round punishment. Hopefully Cotter continues living up to his moniker and puts his foot down on the circus.

Why bench Aumua after his best test? Just let him keep rolling along accruing test match experience. The two minutes of scraps he's typically been getting off the bench isn't going to achieve anything. Predicted Sevu Reece carrying statistics: Metres carried sideways: 738 Metres carried...

I know it almost certainly won't happen, barring injury. I just really dislike him as a centre unless Jason O'Halloran can produce some absolute magic to make it work. The best anyone has managed was Schmidt's power game at the RWC. Which is fine, but I'm sure much more could be achieved with...

So Grindlay is basically the same dimensions as Heem and, apparently, enjoys a good bit of crash-ball/physicality. If he can replicate Heem's efforts at IC then that would allow Lam to slide out to OC and Rieko onto the wing/bench. With Plummer and 10 and Sullivan at 15, you have the kicking...

Old man Heem is a loss. It's injury related so hopefully he can still be around for off-field mentoring, perhaps in the old sus waterboy role. I'd much prefer AJ Lam at centre, but he may slide into 12 instead as he frequently did last season (iirc). Otherwise, lock stocks are good. Drop Suafoa...

No Dylan Pledger, ay. I'm sure he'd enjoy the opportunity to play behind the Killdozer...

idk somewhere around 2023 looking at the wiki history. ABs and Chufs websites have 106. Though wouldn't surprise me if they don't bother to update after debut

Not sure what the fuss about Lord is tbh. He seems undersized for someone near as tall as the Sky Tower and seemingly vies with Blackadder for most unavailable player. Give Holland a starting run as he has some latter day Retallicka about him. Let him go hard at Italy for one half then bring...

Would've rather the Blues surrendered old man Beauden ahead of Cashmore.

    Designated Messiah Watch: Joseph Sua'ali'i

Also, "Sua'ali'i" is too reminiscent of "Saili". Suspiciously so, even.

Unfortunate for Darry as would've liked to see him start against Italy. Holland must surely be locked in to replace him though as he's clearly head and shoulders above the rest selected in the XV.

Common Will Jordan test fullback L. What is the point of a deep grubber kick right to the defending winger with no chase? A defending winger with a known big boot with a free shot at an empty backfield at that.

All Blacks & All Blacks XV EOYT 2024

Will Jordan you absolute simpleton. It's somewhere in the range of ~13 vs 2. What the actual fuck were you thinking was going to happen off that quick throw? You have sullied the fullback name for too long. Back to the wing with you where you belong. Some lazy returns from the entire forward...

Well, it's physical at least. I did enjoy the AB's attack from 35:45-36:45. Much more Blues killdozer-y. Though it did peter out towards the end which was shameful as it was only ~1 minute's worth of effort. Get Stern Vern in to instill some discipline into this soft southron mob.
