    Robbie Deans

A few points. Deans felt he had the votes going into that fateful NZRFU Board meeting to determine the next coach. Deans himself was told by a board member that he had the votes. It is widely understood that Cooper actually gave the strongest presentation, that Henry articulated quite...

Australia: now the worlds most hated team, and whinging saffas.

Seriously? In the wake of the South Africa match when the ref's interpretations and calls favoured the Wallabies, we have others expressing their disapproval and Pocock has been labelled a cheat. Big deal. There are some smart-arses on this site who have been quick to label McCaw and the All...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

And the crowd would probably have cheered it if it was played on the big screen.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

ABs were superb but I was disappointed in the performance of Elsom, Horwill and Vickerman. ABs ran it right up in there and I just felt these lads didn't front up. Perhaps last week's performance against the Boks took a lot out of them.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

I strongly question the sentiment expressed here in a few posts that Aus didn't want it enough. We wanted it! Perhaps last weeks effort against the Boks took a toll. NZ are just better across the park especially in the front 5, and Kaino/Read absolutely monstered Elsom & Samo.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Christ, is that the best we've got in response now, question the quality of NZ sportsmanship? Need i remind you of the taunt from the Aus captain "Four more years!" Did you cheer that? Better to focus on Australia's shortcomings. I saw Pocock was quick to rub McCaw when he was penalized in...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Listening to Deans. What is he talking about when he refers to the change in Australia's tactics in the 2nd half?

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Outstanding NZ performance. To be honest, they flogged the Wallabies everywhere except on the scoreboard and they smashed the Wallabies in the collisions and the breakdowns. I'd question what the fuck the tactics were in the 2nd half with ball, but it wouldn't have made much difference. If...

Say It Ain't So!!! McCaw may be GONE...

When playing at his best, he'd lead in at least 2 of those 3 categories

    The MR Summary

I'm just hoping that NZ'ers are bellowing more loudly about what a "premeditated cheating bastard" Pocock is. I want the front pages of their newspapers to scream "Cheat" with a photo of Pocock with hands in ruck as he enters from the side and Joubert's hands and whistle in his pocket.

    The MR Summary

I really have no concerns that the Wallabies will be drained after having had two very easy finishing matches in their pool. The Boks offered up a very physical Qtr-Final, but the Wallabies will lift enormously. If anything, I see them being more tuned than NZ. Whichever side emerges from this...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

On the Ruggamatrix podcast a few days before the game, it was mentioned that Brussow had dodgy ribs and would require an injection to play.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Good shot. Thanks. I stand corrected. I was wrong. At the time I couldn't see interference even on the replay.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

I disagree. I watched the replays and though the contact was marginal/incidental at best. There was nothing in it. We were bloody lucky. I'd be screaming if the ref had awarded a penalty to the oppo in similar circumstances

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Agree. I was surprised the Boks were called for the penalty at the lineout which JOC (James O'Connor) put over to win the game. It was a ridiculous decision

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Well, I'm definitely not a Bok or NZ supporter and I thought Pocock's hands engaged the ball AFTER the ruck had formed on too many occasions to count. Wallabies were leaving their feet, entering through the side all game long, but Pocock's hands could have been pinged by any other ref...

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

Minimal change is required if Beale is confirmed out. A straight sway at 15 will work for me.

Barnes has NO clue at scrumtime. None.

RWC 2011 SF2: Australia vs. New Zealand

If Cruden is in, Wallabies will expose his poor defense and kicking game.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

I have long regarded McCaw as the game's best forward and an extraordinary 7. There are so many aspects to his game, remade under new interpretations, and I have the utmost respect for him. Those screaming "McCaw cheats" do a disservice to an extraordinary player, as I think he represents the...
