With the end of the comp now completed, who do we think will be the award winners for each team. Best and Fairest, Players Player etc

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

I watched this game and the 2nd XV on the weekend. How did IGS 1st XV finish bottom??? IGS 2nd XV destroyed our 2nds team and won easily 5 trys to 2. IGS were very skillful and fast and by far the better team. I then watched the 1st come out thinking that they would have been looking for a...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

BSHS and IGS trial last weekend was very interesting with IGS running away with the game 7 tries to 2. IGS had a running game that impressed and was different to their usual forward dominated play. The other interesting thing was that 3 IGS players that attended the Aust Champs in Sydney were...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

All trial games this time of year are exactly that, a trial I was at the game as well and noticed that BSHS had none of their GPS Schools reps playing (Marty Koortz was running water for BSHS). IGS had done the same with only one of their forward pack playing half a game. (front 3 players...

QLD Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2015

Has the dates and timetable for all the games between the teams been released. By what I see above GPS 1 vs GPS 2 should be a ripper.

QLD Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2015

Looking at the lists, there will also be some strength, talent and technique on display accross the 1, 2 & 3 positions. Big boys with heaps of experience (some with state/national rep experince and 2-3 yrs in school first 15). Should be great to watch

I heard that IGS had a trial match against the Gold Cup U/17 side during the week. Has anyone got a report on how the boys from out IPPY way are travelling?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

Eagle must see this year as IGS best chance to break free of the "most likely to cause an upset tag" and more of a "team to beat". With some of the more fancied schools having to travel to IGS to play this year, it maybe a harder road trip that previously experienced. With players having their...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

This weekend will be the last game of QLD GPS rugby for 2014. For some of the Yr 12 boys, this will complete and finalise their rugby careers with their school and mean that the have to make some tough decisions with regard to their future Rugby and Lifestyle choices. Some of the boys have...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Churchie have been the best team all year and deserve to be on top of the championships. Just having a look at the match ups over the next two weeks and it is great to see that 2nd - 5th can still be decided. This week NC vs IGS (NC home but IGS getting 4 players back), TSS vs TGS (TGS on a...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

I understand that some of the boys selected for the Aust Schoolboys maybe unavaiable for the the last game of the Qld GPS season. Can someone please confirm as this may affect NG and Churchie for their last game.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Looking at the 1st XV games this weekend, I think the clash of the two biggest front row packs (TGS and IGS) should be epic. All that would be needed is for it to be raining to make it even better. TGS at home on the hill, just need to keep the IGS backs quiet to come away with this one for a...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

I have to agree but disagree Ippy's forwards were definitely bigger, but I don't think they would have changed the game (wet or dry) and GT were always going to struggle against that forward pack. When the 1, 2 and 3 from Ippy were making 10-15m on each hit-up, GT defence is retreating, the...

Have just been told that all IGS games are being played at their Brassall Grounds and not at the School. Looked it up on Google Maps and they are at the end of Pearse Drive, Brassall. Looks to be a bit of a navigation nightmare so may need to leave 15min early to make sure I get there on time.

I noticed the same with the No 18 For GPS 3 (Schiller, I think). The week before when he played against us at IGS he wore No 1 and with the other two IGS front rowers (who were both picked in QLD1) pushed our pack round like a cart. When I looked at the program for the Qld Trials, he was down...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Are the selections of the QLD players done from the State Schoolboys trials played last weekend? I am surprised that a few boys who missed out on QLD1 or QLD2 didn't pick up spots in this team where other QLD based players made the team without making any of the teams that played last weekend.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

I hear that the 3 GPS teams will play on Friday night and on Saturday. Has anyone got the timetable for the games and who plays who. I hear all the games will be played at Ballymore on the main field. Should be a big crowd for all the boys to play in front of.

BSHS play IGS tonight at Sunnybank. All 6 IGS boys who trialed on the weekend, made GPS 1,2,3 teams and will be availble for the game tonight. Can you please let us know how many of the 14 from BBC ended up making GPS Teams 1,2 or 3?
