At the level UQ forwards have been playing I would back wests forwards in a knife fight over them. UQs forwards have been the week point of their team this year. However I accept that Brothers & Bond will be the real litmus test. But I think they will be the benchmark for everyone this season...

I know the dogs have wracked up big scores but i agree. It is mostly through versing poor teams. The dogs are still definitely sorting out some chemistry issues. In saying that i still believe that they are real contenders this year and that with a bit more time together they will be red hot.

My mate living in france who is quite a rugby nut, told me that Zack Holmes as been a 'revelation' this season...I always liked holmes but besides a few good games for the brumbies he never seemed to keep it up. He was playing for a woeful western force outfit in his defence...would be great...

I would say they have signed him on potential he is very raw. I believe he only took up rugby in the last 3 years. Happy to be corrected on that but i thought that's what the QPR commentary team said

I actually like the Welsh Rugby Union Method. That you can select anyone outside of the wales but they have a period of grace (1 year) to come back to the domestic comp otherwise they are made ineligible.

The weird thing about the reds team is that I genuinely like all these players individually and think they would be handy members in any squad. But put all of them together on a team sheet and it doesn't look right...if that makes sense. Maybe it's just that they lack an identity or a brand...
