Brumbies v Hurricanes Rd 11 Sat 26th April @ GIO Stadium 7.35pm AEST

I'm not trying to be provocative, but that was a very unusual game from the Brumbies - lacked the usual control / structure. Canes were dangerous but loose. Good win for them.

Wow, that little sequence was about as non-Brumbies as I can recall.

    Canes trying to choke here...

Brumbies v Hurricanes Rd 11 Sat 26th April @ GIO Stadium 7.35pm AEST

Canes are a handful on the edges. Brums last defenders are a bit turnstile-like. That said, it's a real battle. Brums need to get it into arm-wrestle territory. Fast and loose will advantage the Canes. I think the Brums will come back hard into this. Good viewing.

Good win by the Reds. Lynagh was very impressive. As were others.

Little bit surprised they did not call that red straight off the bat. Looked bleeding obvious to me.

    Wallabies 2025

If he's fit and in form, he is a no-brainer for the squad. At this point he fits the bill.

    Crusaders v Blues a.k.a. NZ's festum odii

He really does know how to make people like him... ;) But in all seriousness, I cannot see the ABs touching him.

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

Any degree of deceleration is dangerous. Hitting players high does this. That's what leads to brain injury. Unless JAS was literally falling over into the shoulder, it is all on the tackler.

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

That's the point. Head contact. That's what we should be focussing on. If we want to rely on microseconds and still shots then we are missing the point. This tackle started high, stayed high, and hit the head. Should be a red card every day.

    Reds v Brumbies Rd 9 Sat 12th April @ Suncorp 7.35pm AEST

I think there are genuinely a small, but vocal, number of fans from all franchises who would happily see all other Aussie teams getting pumped week-in, week-out by Kiwi teams as long as their team won. Then bitch if players from any of these teams make the Wallabies squad, because, you know...

Maybe he deserves 7 pts for Tahs best on field, as opposed to the 6 pts I gave him last night.

Let's hope he hates French cuisine.

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

A bit more than just bashing him - boxing him with clever kicks and aggressive defence made him cough it up mostly without needing to bash him.

I think plenty of coaches will look at how they played McKenzie with interest.

    Well played.

I'd give McKenzie all the points for his contribution to the win. ;)
