  1. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

OK given it's in the England match thread I had assumed the excitement was about bringing him into the squad this tour. Going forward no issue including him in the discussions. Given our current predicament at 10 include as many as possible!

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

There might be serious excitement about him but they haven't flown anyone over as cover yet so I doubt he'll be getting a call up. Let's see how he goes for the Reds next season.
  3. KOB1987

Wales v Australia, Sunday 21st 4.30 am ADST.

That's pretty much the team I had in mind too, I wasn't so much suggesting giving all the uncapped guys a run, just favouring the younger capped players. Changes to that team would possibly be starting Bell over Slipper, testing Swinton out again, and perhaps seeing how Perese goes at 13...
  4. KOB1987

Wales v Australia, Sunday 21st 4.30 am ADST.

I’d be sending out a ‘team for the future’, without ex pats, except maybe Latu because we need him on the bench.

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

    In what respect?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That was my thought as well while I was reading RY's post and before reading yours
  7. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

I think that is because he needed to be on the end of a good backline. He didn't very often have that privilege during his first stint in Super Rugby.

    Wallabies 2021

I quite like this but I doubt Foketi has played a minute on the wing in his pro career. He was Aus schools #10 x 2 years, and pretty much in the centres since. One of Wright or Beale will probably have to stay by default.
  9. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

Id be getting rid of Wright before Beale. Beale was targeted and I don’t think dropped a high ball - the ‘numerous‘ knock ons that someone referred to before I think was one above his head and one strip, and he also gained one strip. id certainly not be persisting with Kurtley beyond this tour...
  10. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

Whats the Covid protocol? Surely more than 2 have it if they’ve all been training together, and now we’re all going to have it for the Wales game?
  11. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

I don’t disagree with that at all. I was very anti Tom after his first 17 lacklustre tests appearances but admit he was starting to grow into the role when he got injured. Like you I don’t think either are the answer in their respective positions, the irony was in the consecutive posts by Seb...

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

It's ironic that this is your view of JOC (James O'Connor).... yet this is your view of Banks. Like you, I'm happy to be proven wrong
  13. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

I think the general consensus is that Banks is a placeholder. That doesn't mean he's not the best option when fit, but he's only there as long as we don't have a test quality fullback. That could well be Kellaway, or Petaia, or even someone like Harrison or Donaldson in due course.
  14. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

I think Beale had to start. Kellaway is probably the future at 15, but we need to get our wingers sorted first. Twickenham v England isn’t the place for unforced experiments.
  15. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

We want to avoid scrums, England will be knocking the ball on on purpose.
  16. KOB1987

    England v Australia - Twickenham, 14 Nov, 4:30am AEDT

Clearly, as he went back on and played out the rest of the game.
  17. KOB1987

    Wallabies 2021

I would have no issues with Perese being picked at 12 and won't be surprised if it happens.

  19. KOB1987

    Wallabies 2021

I may have jumped the gun a bit, I was going off the England match thread. However - Christy Doran has tweeted that he met with Wallabies coaches, that's all I can find on it at this stage.
