R12: Waratahs vs Rebels - Saturday 13 May

In town and coinciding with a rare Tahs home game. Taking the wife and last remaining school aged kid out for this one. Parted with the money for platinum seats near the tunnel - I know I could have paid GA and moved around but I’m happy to make my annual donation to the Tahs for a bit of...

    NSW AAGPS 2023

Bumped in to a couple of GPS legends last night, one popular with the Joeys crowd, one not: Mark Malloy - SJC ‘85 Craig Baker - TSC ‘87

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

Sarah Hirini in the mens squad is a pretty bold call as well!

I'm not sure how serious it was but going by the news reports Angus Crichton is back on the radar too.

No definitely keep the Kings Cattlemen, Blue Horseshoe is a reference to those providing inside information in the '87 classic 'Wall Street'

    Wallabies 2023

Cheika didn't underappreciate him - I don't think he's been sighted in our realms since that unfortunate injury in the 2015 final.

I have a couple of 'Blue Horseshoes' at Kings so am sure I can help out when required.

That's actually a really good idea.

    Western Force 2024

Robertson should head overseas to get some coin and some game time / experience. He could arguably be in the Wallabies mix in a few years time when he comes back.

Hamish said from the outset we would take him, and more recently that we can afford him, citing the potential Lions and RWC27 revenues. Sounds like he's on $700K at the Roosters so would be a bargain to get him for around that a season early.

It was the heart v head thing Joker...my head said Joeys would beat Kings in the final round but my heart wouldn’t allow me to make such a tip.

    Rebels v Brumbies 2.35pm 07/05

He will be in the squad. The fact that he is only 26, has 63 caps, can play every position from 10-15, and can kick 60m goals will get him in the squad. He is rarely MOTM material but on the other hand never lets the team down. He may not be in the preferred 23 but he will be in France.

just how test rugby is meant to be i.e. players used to actually have a genuine reason to go off

    Reds v Waratahs in Townsville

The ruck shifted and he didn’t adjust? That’s a new one edit: that’s how Gardner explained the penalty

    What a cracker!

    Reds v Waratahs in Townsville

It’s very poor, but not entirely unexpected, Queenslanders are focused on the loig this weekend. As mentioned this game should be in Sydney, or at least the Tahs should be playing someone there tonight. Incredibly poor scheduling by the SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) crowd. As long as its a good game I don’t care...

    Reds v Waratahs in Townsville

It actually doesn't look too bad, 72% and falling and a balmy 25 degrees currently - perfect hay baling conditions shortly. I don't think the Reds would be all that better accustomed to it, both going from meditteranean to tropical

    Crusaders v Force 06/05/2023

FTFY. He's not the problem, he has been pretty good. Their issue is their inability to build a team from one season to the next, which is not a criticism of their efforts, they get 11/10 for trying to. Their players just won't stick for whatever reason and they are forced to go on a global...
