    Rugby World Cup Matches OTA

I’d love for Fiji to come out and tear England a new one in the quarters. However I fear we can expect an all home nations officiating panel for that fixture - they might give an antipodean a token touchie gig so it’s not so obvious.

I was thinking about this as well - in terms of the high performance alignment that the centralised model is designed to bring, from a geographical perspective RA don’t need both NSW and ACT on board, but it does need one of them. If one of the two abstains and the other 3 franchises are on...

Scotland doing their best Wallabies. Dig more holes when their already deep down.

I reckon hijack the whole region if they are going to do it. They already have Penrith, Blue Mountains would probably be hardest to get on board as they won Kentwell this year, but I suspect they have been beneficiaries of Penrith playing in the ACT comp. There would be a bit of inequality...

I understand both of your points. I wasn't actually meaning to create a club to play in the ACT comp, I was thinking more along the lines of splitting the (say) 8 westernmost clubs off to play each other in a regional zone comp that is governed by the Brumbies. Pfitzy could interject here, but...

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

Ollie Cummins is going to be busy

Sorry my bad. Illawarra didn't turn up to the senior country champs the last couple of times but I believe it was just the distance to Tamworth made it hard to get a competitive team to travel, rumours were circulating they were defecting I remember at one stage.

In all seriousness there is no reason whatsoever to move the Brumbies from Canberra, but the Western Sydney comment by goosestep is pertinent. As long as the stadium is fixed up.... their catchment already extends to Wollongong so why not extend that up the M5/M7 to include the include the...

    Wallabies 2024

Yes - the actual tier 1 countries are the four in the RC and the six in the 6N plus Japan (presumably due to financial clout). We would have to spend a while down here and get dumped by WR (World Rugby) as a voting nation to officially become a tier 2 nation. It actually has little to do with anyone's test...

    Wallabies 2024

Jorgensen has definite Matt Burke type potential.

Fair enough, just some bad wording on my behalf. I was referring to the Force.

    Wallabies 2024

Koroibete retiring from test rugby after RWC.

    League Targets

As someone points out above the reporting was pretty shoddy - first the amount was wrong and now it seems the approach came from their side anyway. RA obviously then got Twiggy on board.

    League Targets

It seems his manager was trying to play RA and it went down like a lead balloon. I don't think we've heard the end of it but yes going overseas is a distinct possibility. What club is Jack Maddocks at?

    Wallabies 2024

My read on it is that Waugh kind of has to say that at the moment because they haven't done the formal review yet.

    Wallabies 2024

I agree but I guess we don't know as it's the players who vote on it, they often see things differently. He's a shoe in for the GAGR POTY though.

    Wallabies 2024

I actually don't think we will see Marika in gold again either. Not that he's been bad but he takes up an overseas spot and I think they will call time on him. Possibly one of the reasons Vunivalu was persisted with.

This is kind of what I was alluding to as being the solution the other day. Rather than creating a third tier, create a professional u23s comp with say 12 teams, which are feeder clubs to the Super franchises. Target an audience of the same age group (much like college footy in the USA) and...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I think there is a happy medium. Eddies main gripe was that the Portugal maul (non) try was clearly knocked on so why did we have to watch multiple replays when the first one showed it so obviously. In fairness the TMO only came into the game in the instances it should be used - lead ups to...

Eddie gave a pretty good speech about this in the presser, about how the TMO has too much influence, etc, needs to go back to the ref being the sole adjudicator.
