Absent playing a match against Barker (as presumptive outright faves for the 2018 Henry Plume), across all the GPS (and CAS) sides, I think Scots may have the toughest remaining Trial schedule going. There’s no “gimme” games at all that I can see. Up next: Waves (presumptive second line of...

^^^^^ Just some of the unspoken 'power' that selection in the GaGR "Team of the Year" can bring? ;) Good on Master Dowling for getting the nod. Had such a good season.

Am 'crushed' by the absence of a "Bruce". :)

Rich, well done for getting the "Rich_E" brand up and running on GaGR for a good 12 months or so. (You and Sonny Dill over on CAS will rock for a year!) Given your contribution to the nostalgia for the 2017 cohort, and boy, you 2017 Y12's especially, you should all be grateful to your future...

Actually, I thought the young'n even getting back on his feet relatively unscathed, and still alive to tell the tale to his future children about the day he "got hit in the middle of a paddock by a charging bull in blue & white stripes", was the VERY best thing about that one! Anything to do...

You do rock, Steppa. A lot! Some unbridled scenes of schoolboy delight at the end of that footage. Well captured. Well done.

Must be getting close to resumption then. Wasn't the last Scots v Waves game at Death Valley in 2015; a "warm-up" game just before the resumption of the respective comps in Term 3. Wasn't all that dramatic as I'm recalling. Nothing like the belter at Scots the year before!

Uncle Jim, did you make it to HH? Is there a FT score from HH that anyone might care to post?

Like a bit of cow's liver, you've pulled the crabs into the pot who just couldn't resist the bait! Well done anuzzer 'Frank Row', JP K-nox! ;)

    NSW AAGPS 2017

^^^^^^ Agreed, OEP. The week before, I was standing at BH just behind the View in-goal towards the end of the Scots match, View already knowing they'd copped a hiding on the scoreboard. After one of the late Scots tries in that game, and leaving aside the very colourful expression used...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

Despite the (relative) softness of a couple of the tries scored yesterday at Stanmore, I thought the defenses, generally, of both teams were very good; effectively nullifying each other for great slabs of the game. There were some absolute bone-rattlers put on out in the middle. It took me a...

Many thanks for those replies 'Steppa and BR. Optometrist appointment scheduled for Monday is now cancelled. ;) Dowling really played his woofa off in the last 8" or so trying to get the JB's over the comeback line. "Played good, done well", as legend's say.

    NSW AAGPS 2017

Calling on sharp-eyed JoeBoys. Can anyone assist with correct i.d.'ing of the JB's final try-scorer yesterday? I thought it was Dylan Dowling(9) burrowing over under the pile of bodies, but AAGPS Results says Jack Quinn(8). Any assistance gratefully received; just so the correct attribution can...

Tremendous news from HH. The WORST vegetarian burger on the North Shore remains! Tremendous to see the Joeys Dads remain the standard bearers for the Comp in this special skill set!

    NSW AAGPS 2017

The trialling is all done; combinations all tried and tested; preparations now all made; the best team now chosen. The honour of representing their school, and the heavy burden of responsibility that goes with selection. The time to get serious has arrived! The work that has gone into making...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

On "trial" form, Joeys and Kings, who've yet to meet each other in 2017, but who've both beaten Scots, deserve equal favouritism for the season proper, with Scots on the next line of betting. The scheduling gods have smiled in that these three teams each play one of the others at home, and the...

Aahhh, gotta love the 3's Comp, Father Jim. We all do! Early days, yes, but each game is meaningfully tighter than a fishy's own, while swimming backwards and upstream! Hope the lads enjoy their long w'end, give the injured some chance to recover a bit, and 'bring it' in a fortnight's time...

    NSW AAGPS 2017

Just love getting on to GaGR on a Sunday arvo to take a peek at match and highlight vids posted by school Vid Depts, privateers like 'Steppa, etc. So good to view the quality on display when you can't get along to a game, nor split y'self three different ways on a Saturday! Many thanks to all...

^^^^^ Grammar has a tough road-trip up and over the Range in Round 3. (But aren't they all heading up to TAS?!) Belshaw's Boys are looking good in Season 2017 and, albeit still a long way to go, the 5/08/17 Round 6 clash at HH should already be pencilled in as a "speshhhal". :) Pity the 1's...
