Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Of course the wording determines the outcome. It's meant to be like that. The ref either asks to be over-ruled or hands full responsibility over to the TMO depending on how good his view was. This is good because on many occasions the ref has a better view than the camera. That maul try today...

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Funny how refs are always to blame for these events. Where is the official channel players/coaches/refs can go through to complain about professional props, whose job it is to scrum, not being able to get it right in 6 entire minutes. I might have to start a thread on this tomorrow with more...

Giving your club a great image there Redsman keep it up. How many posts are we away from violent threats? 2, 3, 4?

Tahs at least are playing very well. Cheika is doing a good job. It's obviously a long term project but they have a nice structure that seems to work better each week.

I think Glenn Jackson is undoubtedly to blame, the penalty spot should have been 5m to the left.

Looks like scrums are gonna decide this one. The way god intended.

    There's a few Laulala's in world rugby.

You guys are criticizing Jackson for the 1 thing in this game he is doing perfectly. Managing the offside line at the ruck. Positioning in the in-goal has been not super rugby standard. The ruck entry has been not managed that greatly. Among a few other small things he's got to work on. But...

Jackson has been spot on with the "ball out/offisde" calls. Communication hasn't been perfect but 2nd half should improve.

I'm talking about the Crusaders #3, maybe it was their 2nd penalty at the ruck. Good try tahs

The tahs first penalty happened when a Crusaders player was lying on the ball for less than a second.

It's all pretty one dimensional so far from the Tahs, would be surprised if the Crusaders don't sort their defence soon. Goes to show that simple stuff works though.

    NSWRU and referee getting sued

I thought when you said "play on", you meant off the FK. Ok sorry, I misread it. I'd say we need a video before deciding on what the people involved should have done. But I'd point out that the current approach is bound to fail on the odd occasion. Not that I have a solution.

Am I really that bad at communicating a point?

    NSWRU and referee getting sued

I just said that a free kick doesn't feel that much different from general play. So if the game wasn't stopped before a free kick was given, the free kick itself isn't going to present a better opportunity to stop the play. (in theory yes, but when you are out there it's not)

    NSWRU and referee getting sued

It's easier said than done, a Free Kick is not a break in play and you almost assume they are going to tap or kick it immediately. Clearly the system of "stopping the game when it feels too close" hasn't worked here. And it will fail once every few thousand times. The problem if a physio runs...

    NSWRU and referee getting sued

It seems as though she is doing OK now. Says she was a physio for Tonga at the 2012 olympics. Is she trying to raise awareness that the current guidelines don't work? Or does she actually believe the ref owes her money for what happened?

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

In a nike sweatshop in Africa, they simultaneously stream super15 rugby games. So in between jobs the workers record Waratahs breakdown entry stats. And if they get enough time they record the number of steps the players take. Those "KM's ran" statistics you sometimes see aren't the result of...

Thoughts on a Possible Law Change

But if you don't like kicking duels, you need an incentive to run it. At the moment, no matter how you score rugby union games, the most likely place to score from is the opposition 22. The territory duels will continue regardless. The problem with the Reds vs Brumbies game was not that the...
