Super Rugby Trial Rebels v Brumbies 23JAN20 Greenfield Park Albury 345pm

I'm sure the brainstrust at the Steamer's are all over this angle and will be promoting this match at every possible level. They've got some great local politico support which will hopefully open some doors also.

Super Rugby Trial Rebels v Brumbies 23JAN20 Greenfield Park Albury 345pm

Do it, you won't regret it mate. Buy your fuel in town, take the scenic route via Bright etc and have lunch. Buy some meat from the local butcher, pick up some beer or cider from the breweries up that way...

Super Rugby Trial Rebels v Brumbies 23JAN20 Greenfield Park Albury 345pm

Great work by the Albury Steamers to have secured the "Battle of the Border" down on the river next week, there are loads of events on around these two matches - Sportsmen's Lunch, Foundation Course, plenty of local press and "meet and greet" opportunities. Check out the Steamer's FB page for...

Negatory Batman, I'd expect something later this month though.:) Jock Mason has retired? :D

Glacial is being too kind, at least climate change has the glacier's moving... I think there is little doubt that it will get done, the question will be when and in what state. I'd be surprised if the pitch itself is in any condition to play on next year, let alone lights, grandstand...

You're on fire here PB, solid gold mate :) I saw those comments yesterday and don't know why he/she has deleted them. If the general rugby public think that all clubs don't have some type of budget for attracting players, they've got rocks in their heads - don't we want the best players the...

Let's not go down this path here folks. The aim of this forum has always been to promote footy in the area, let's keep it that way please. Mick did a cracking job for SIRU for roughly 15 years (and Riverina Rugby) before that. While the CRM role is a central part of what happens in the zone...

Do we think that would make a difference though? Are we looking at "greener grass" and comparing the "New" South West Competition without looking at our competition with similar views? What would be gained from being part of NSWRU? Is lamenting the lack of foresight at a strategic level enough...

They have been asleep for years mate. I believe Deni are playing as 2nds for Hay.

I saw the infographic that was done up for the AGM recently and definitely had some questions about the Senior figures. I suspect the growth that's happening in the Senior Competition is solely based around the Women's 10 a side Competition (which is definitely a good thing). From what I've...

Good on him, he always wanted to take further steps up the chain, hopefully this is the first. I wonder what the next options are for DO's in this area? We've certainly had some talent fill those shoes over the years, I wonder if there's some value in partnering with the Rebels in some regard...

Let's hope commonsense prevails and there is one less bye in the draw for the 2020 season to avoid a clash with the Ag Races, I agree that would be financial suicide to clash with that date. A quick look at the confirmed dates means that with the current draw, the first 10 weeks of the season...

I know Jonno Andreou is Coaching Ag College, I'm not sure what's happening with Tumut though.

Good on Hay for stepping into 1st Grade, numbers are going to be important to them and they'll need to bolster their playing stocks I'd say. The Hay/Deni 1st/2nd Grade partnering will be interesting, I wonder if that split will be 50/50 for them? Looking at the 3rd Grade competition, I...

It's good to see a few of these things locked in now, there's been a bit of action on the different social media platforms across the clubs which is a positive sign. Lots of touch footy etc being played by clubs which is great to see!
