    Aussie Player Exodus

How did Churchie go about getting visesio kite in the first place? Did they fly to Brisbane via the pacific islands to hand him a scholarship did they.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Drawing a long bow there. People of pacific island heritage immigrate to Australia for a variety of reasons, mainly education and working opportunities. Are private schools flying to these islands and handing scholarships to kids? Pretty sure they’re not.

    Aussie Player Exodus

I just read the Tom Decent article and Herbert does explain that is French clubs not France Rugby that’s the issue. It’s the JIFF rules that seem to be a driving factor of this.

Well the clubs might not care but France Rugby will clearly be encouraging it.

Just change the eligibility rules to exclude academy contracts. Done.

https://www.rugby.com.au/news/wallabies-coach-announcement-coming-soon-as-herbert-issues-warning-over-french-talent-raid-2025416 Sounds like lemoto is signing with France. Interesting to read how annoyed RA are. Probably the most public they’ve been on the issue.

    Waratahs 2025

Also believe he’s been injured or is currently injured. Wilson is right - tahs need a TH that can handle a scrum for at min a year to allow time for the ones that Ghost talks about. Would love them to bring back Moses Alo Emile or Paul but I suggest they’re probably very happy and would cost too...

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

Hmm interesting. Again how are they determining “low force” and “low speed”? Mouthguard data? Biomechanics? HIA? What if the player is susceptible to concussions / glass jaw? I mean direct contact seems to be the real sticking point. I’ve just watched it again, I can’t see how that’s not direct...

    Queensland Reds 2025

I rate werchon’s pass and it’s always handy to have a left footer in the team. For the good of Aus rugby I’m happy to let Thomas go. They also have James Martens coming through from the U20s, he looks real good.

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

Yeah I take your point but I actually think the mitigation is the pass back inside which I was not expecting when I watched it live. I think hunter was lining the bloke on the wing but that he popped the ball back inside and hunter got him instead. I know it’s the tacklers responsibility but at...

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

Mate I have read that. The problem is the interpretation of level of danger. This tackle has elements of YC and RC danger. But it’s unknown what overrules different dot points?

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

What are we asking players to do? If we go back to the pasami one where there was mitigation and the tackling player actually got into correct body height technique. I’m still not sure what this chiefs player was trying to do other than rip JAS head off? To me it’s far more reckless and it looks...

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

Odd that I’m getting better explanations from this forum than SRP (Super Rugby Pacific).

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

How many do you need to tick off? looked pretty “reckless” to me. What does dynamic even mean? If it’s not direct contact does that over rule everything? It’s not well explained at all imo.

    Queensland Reds 2025

Louis Werchon re-signed until end of 26. Interesting to see what happens with Kalani. Force would do well to get him.

What about Lynagh’s one from the highlanders player? Head hits Tom flush. How are they measuring force?

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Friday 11 April 2025

It’s all over the place. It looked like shoulder to head, high degree of danger, absolutely no mitigation = very close to red. But earlier in the season Paisami does pretty much all he can to make a legal tackle with mitigating circumstances and gets found guilty. Is anyone clear on what...

Not sure it’s ever looked worse than Gordon’s kicking game.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Seems good signs if there’s a lot of players battling for positions. The commentators said there was another 30odd players that were disappointed not to get the call up. I’m optimistic we might be sorting out our pathways.

    Reds v Brumbies Rd 9 Sat 12th April @ Suncorp 7.35pm AEST

Yeah I agree he gets slammed either way. But that has always been the knock on him. Would love for him to have some different gears. I thought he had a decent game but it was pretty obvious pretty quickly that brumbs just had to play tight.
