Super Rugby Round Three: Rebels v Cheetahs, Friday 28 Feb, AAMI Park

Kingston should really be starting ahead of Mitchell, he will be an absolute gun for you blokes this season. Im looking forward to seeing the Rebs play this year apart from hooker and 5/8 your squad looks decent and im tipping them to cause quite a few upsets. Should be a good first game.

Waratahs vs Force - Super Rugby R2 Sunday 23 February 2014

Great to start the season off with some Sunday Arvo rugby in the sun! No better way to watch the rugby IMO. It was an interesting game though, the Tahs looked good in attack apart from some first round sloppiness. Foley led the team around well and combined pretty well with Beale. That...

    Scotland v Australia, Murrayfield, 5am 24 Nov 2013

Add Foley to that list as well. Tahs confirmed this morning that Betham has been called up and got on a flight over there this morning or last night. 9 - Genia 10 - Cooper 11 - Tomane 12 - To'omua 13 - CFS 14 - Folau 15 - Foley That would be my backline with Betham, Lilo on the bench.

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

He hasn't played in a long time, so he isn't fit enough to play, I presume we will see him at some stage on the tour but we won't see him start unless Moore gets injured.

    Waratahs 2014

Tim Methcer and and Ryan Hodson have been invited to train with the Tahs. Also posted a video on their facebook of some of the training they have been doing.

    Waratahs 2014

The tahs need a centre and the way I see it, is there is really only one option who I believe can make the step up next year. And that is Michael McDougall. He can play 12 and 13, is a solid defender and a hard-worker. Most people on this forum want Hugh Roach as the back-up hooker and I...

    Haha to true.

    Waratahs 2014

During half time of the shute shield today they interviewed Roach after he won the rookie of the year. And he said he wanted to play for that Tahs. Also interestingly he said the players he looked up to most were Hooper, Gill and Pockock! Maybe he see's himself as a number 7 now who can also...

    Waratahs 2014

Also interesting from that article is that the EPS contracts are open from next week, so I presume we will see a Hooker announced soon.

    Waratahs 2014

Seems like Cheika is a fan of Alofa Alofa. I think he would be a good signing, good attacking option to have out wide.

    Waratahs 2014

Good luck to him. Unfortunately injuries the last few years have hurt his prospect in NSW, as Crawford, Betham and Kingston have developed. Would have been a decent player to have in around the squad. But hopefully he can find a home in QLD and start reproducing his form of a few years ago.

    Rebels 2014

I remember watching Debreczeni at school and he always had a massive boot, so I could see why AFL are interested in him. He is also pretty tall. Hopefully he stays in Union, although I dont see him ever becoming a real star he could be a very good squad player.

    Rebels 2014

Completely agree. Unfortunately there is no one else. In the case of Horwitz though he is still only 18, and has only played one season of Shute Shield. Foley was a different case. He had been playing Seven's for Australia for 3 - 4 years. As well as playing for Uni, before he was brought into...

    Rebels 2014

Yeh they would both be great players to have, if the team had atleast one top quality 5/8. Unfortunately the Rebels don't have one. It would be a massive risk to go into the season with Hegarty, Horwitz and Saifoloi.

    Rebels 2014

Completely agree Rohan Saifoloi was very good yesterday. Horwitz threw one brilliant pass but didn't have much of a chance behind a beaten forward pack. No Rohan hasn't been signed by anyone, although he seriously should be because he is a classy 5/8. Yesterday his goal-kicking was pretty...

    Shute Shield 2013

Rohan Saifoloi was the pick of the 10's yesterday, he ran the game well and scored two tries. His normally accurate kicking boot was a bit off yesterday but it was quite windy I believe. He should be pushing for a Super Rugby contract somewhere. He outplayed Horwitz, who threw one beautiful cut out...

    Beale to Tahs, where?

Has he ever really played 12? Would be an interesting option to have there. I'm sure either Foley or Beale will be trialed there in pre-season. It will be fascinating to see how Cheika tries to integrate them all into the same team.

    Shute Shield 2013

Kepu is playing for the Wicks coming off the bench. Randwick v Southern Districts, Coogee Oval 3.10pm (ABC TV) Randwick: 1 Faitotoa Asa, 2 Nio Halangahu (c), 3 Tristan Goodbody, 4 Geoff Ingram, 5 William Munro, 6 Pete Samu, 7 Tom Connor, 8 Stephen Hoiles, 9 James Helliwell, 10 David Horwitz...
