I dunno why... This Ireland team doesn't look as strong as it has done over the last few years. It'll be close still... Schmidt has made Ireland a pretty tough side to beat and given them plenty of confidence.

I suspect we will see a slow drip feed over this year of new blood into the England team, and by Autumn it will be radically different in style and have many new players. We'll see a few changes for Italy.. Maybe something like this: M Vunipola Hartley Cole Kruis Launchbury Robshaw Clifford...

I'll take Wales for a tight win, Ireland's game is based of a good kicking game and making very few mistakes.... and Zebo is at Fullback. I like Zebo but he is prone to trying things and making the odd mistake and I think the Welsh will be able to take advantage.

At the risk of sounding arrogant in the past then this is the first time I have ever really felt nervous going into a Calcutta Cup game. This is definitely the best Scottish team for years (coupled with a good coach)... We'll have to see what Eddie can do with the English players.
