So we move the GPS trials to the Gold Coast. This one makes a lot of sense!

Watch for sleepers; Mitchell at 7, Tarabay at 9 and Lennon at 15. Mason at 11.

Truly, is it fair though? Let's say a boy doing schooling the traditional way turns 16 late in year 12. In Qld, that is highly possible. Then, let's say that a another "boy" does senior over 3 years and turns 18 early in his second year of Yr 12. This creates a two year age gap between the...

^^^^ THIS SOUNDS LIKE FUN: Is this forum, "Schoolboy Rugby"? Well then, if you become an adult in your last year of schooling then perhaps you no longer qualify for "schoolboy" teams!

Really good to read your updates. Any other players standing out. When did you start your viewing. I hear Churchie is very young, who is their ten. It is my understanding that all teams are training, it is just that not all sessions are compulsory.

Here's an idea; How about the Qld Schools limit the number of times you can trial for these state teams. Might stop the "2 year, year 12 students" from clogging up the system. Doing Year 11 and 12 over three years, just to make rep teams or to win premierships, does diminish the honour of...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Totally agree. Logan only had 5 tries scored against them in 300 minutes of rugby and not one through the back line. Yet, can manage only 5 forwards selected. Backs obviously didn't play! Logan go down 19-12 against the North conference winners verse conference C winners going down 33-0...

The breakdown of the team is the interesting thing; 17 from Group C and 7 from Group D. Group C winners convincingly beaten last night by WA. Food for thought!

Is it just me, or does it seem that the Qld Reds take a lot longer than other states to get information such as this to the rugby community?

First time, long time. News is that "Tristan" from Iona has jumped ship and is now at the ACGS docks. Lots of work done since the U15 State Carnival to get him there.
