    Baxter (would be) out

He's actually had a Greganesque freakish run of good health up to this point. Bad timing for Al.

    Waratahs 2011

That's the only inexplicable move by the Tahs. I don't understand the 3 rookie requirement. Are you saying that we couldn't now sign ex-Brumbie lock Sitaleki Timani ?

IRB U/20 Tournament and Oz Squad

We got raped. Why do people feel the need to make excuses ? Our blokes were embarassingly soft. They all have a black mark against their name.

    Wallabies V Ireland, Brisbane

Bob Dwyer's says it better than I ever could I guess Robbie Deans is more interested in buying himself some time with the "youth" policy though.

Wallabies player of the match VS England (2) @ Homebush

Seriously ? 3. Pocock. Contested well. A worry that he keeps cramping up. 2. Cooper. Handled the pressure well. Needs a better kicking game though. 1. Brown. High workrate and handling the mess at the back of scrum quite well. But geez we miss Cliffy. Curious that some have nominated...

    Wallabies vs England, Sydney

That was unbelievable and excruciating to watch. Sums up the mentality of the side - let's pat ourselves on the back after 1 scrum. Disgraceful reaction. What concerns me is not so much the scrums, kick re-starts, lack of counter ruck or goal kicking. Its the soft underbelly. The lack of...

    Shute Shield 2010

Eastern Suburbs - you bloody beauty !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Easts 16 destroyed the evildoers from Sydney Uni 13. Guts, determination, passion, the Beasts had it all. Great, great win against a Uni side stacked with rep talent. Uni completely dominated possession in the...

    Sydney Uni

John Maxwell was the other flanker wasn't he ? Though he was coaching the side just 3-4 years later. Michael Cheika the no8. Darren Junee would have been the outside centre and I'm guessing Tim Kelaher, who became a Wallaby, was the fullback.

Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

The defence was pretty stout by the English, and they got good results with our guys losing the ball in contact often. I thought our backs turned to the kick a bit too often - too many Kurtley Beale type miracle chip kick options taken - rather than working harder as a unit to unlock the defence.

    Wallabies vs England, Sydney

See, I'm expecting a repeat of the 2nd half of the Perth game. In which guys like Ma'afu, Fainga'a, Pocock, Elsom were out on their feet. The tight 5 will be exhausted with the scrum work. The loosies from doing a ton of tackling. The English pick & go wasn't impressive but they are patient...

    Wallabies vs England, Sydney

I'm not sure what you're on about re: "great propaganda". I don't know how getting smashed is a positive story. We are back to being the laughing stock of world rugby. All that work to win respect at the scrum, especially from referees, is gone. These guys are 1/ professionals and 2/ playing...

    Wallabies vs England, Sydney

This is test rugby. Brumbies style smoke and mirrors cannot help - you cannot escape the physical contest. I have a feeling the Poms have learnt from the 1st test. Against the Aus Baabaas their work at the ruck was very good. I expect them to continue that in the Sydney test and our attack to...

    Wallabies front row

And Robbie Deans hasn't been sacked yet ? Disgraceful. John O'Neill, asleep at the wheel since 2007.

Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

England 15 Aus 'Barbarians' 9. All penalty goals. Yes, commiserations to those who travelled 2 hours and braved the cold.

Poll : Should the Wallabies revert to the old guard in the front row?

After that execrable exhbition by Australia A, I'm thinking it wouldn't be the worst idea if we gave up rugby union altogether. Yes it was that bad. No, I'm not exaggerating.

Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

Where are the Luke Burgess haters now ? Valentine is tied with Peter Hynes in the competition for 'Player who has deadse.t got nothing' award. Hynes is the least threatening outside back in the history of rugby. He couldn't make a break against the Unanderra U7s.

Australia A (aka Barbarians) v England II, Gosford

Robbie Deans HAS to go. HAS to go. WTF is he thinking ? TPN, in his comeback game from injuries, being played at the unfamiliar and injury friendly position of tighthead prop ? Instead of Weeks & Slipper, young tightheads who need the experience and actually have a chance of playing tightead...

They must have just gone through their scintillating game plan. I hope you gave 'em a gobful.

Isn't he with the Brumbies ? I'm sure he turned out for the Brumbies Runners.

    Wallabies front row

Growden's article today indicates they''ll dump Ma'afu but stick with Daley. Growden's selection sources are usually pretty good. I'm not sure what being "earthed" means. Must be a Kiwi thing. Its troubling that they could watch that game and think Daley could possibly turn things around in...
