If Wests ovals were wet then why didn't Wests and Manly play at Seaforth Oval instead? It doesn't make sense to me!

I thought Manly were supposed to play Wests today?

Anyone got any reports on today's trials?

I can't help feeling something is fundamentally wrong about all this. An old dude gives a club acres of land for the express purpose of playing rugby on it and somehow it ends up getting sold off. Just doesn't seem right to me.

Will no one mention the elephant in the room re 7s? Looks like it's up to me. The vast majority of boys don't really like 7s. They put up with it pre season that's about it. That's the ones that are talked into playing it. Lots of players aren't at all suitable obviously.

I'll tell you one thing for sure. I WILL watch the SS no matter whatever clash is happening. I'm not giving up 18 plus rounds of SS action as some kind of protest. Either I've got no principles or I just couldn't give a toss about it. I'll watch the SS then I'll watch the NRC and try to avoid...

You know what disappoints me about club rugby these days? When the match is over and the boys get cleaned up they all get in their cars and go home. I'd like to see a return to the old days where the after match piss ups were the main reason for playing the game. Singing songs and getting nude...

Remember the SS is not just the SS. There's four grades. A lot of these players have not been too happy with the shortened seasons.

So there's more bureaucrats than actual Wallabies? This is what's wrong with Australia.

That's if you get in 1st Grade. You could do all the same training and be in 2nds or 3rds. That's 0 cents an hour. OR....maybe training could start in January for Club Rugby players.

    Shute Shield 2017

Btw that's a lot of training two and three times from October to April before you get your first match payment. You're on about 40 cents an hour!!!

Anyway getting back to the SS. I would like to make an observation. I think too many SS coaches take it all way too seriously. They are often ambitious and looking to make a career from professional coaching. Good luck to them. But SS players are basically amateurs. Sure some get paid some money...

It's a bit of a worry when people think Concord Oval is western Sydney. Keep driving. There's only a few more million past there!!

I just clicked on the Craft Beer Mixed cases where with a $20 off discount the beers are still more expensive than at the bottlo.

Was a great match and very happy to see someone other than the usuals get the win. Loved seeing the crowd invasion at the end. Terrific to see fans excited about club rugby. Obviously agree with all of the above, especially having the game at NSO with Norths in the GF boosted crowd numbers...

I agree with you Dr Dave. He's had a great season. But he's made a mistake here. Is it the end of the world? No. Not to him.But it's this kind of sh1t that puts boys off rugby.
