Couldn't agree more. Absolutely outstanding performance from a number of Marist players, in particular I was extremely happy with the performance from Wratten (who is in year 11 mind you), the halfback Day (grade 10) as well as McKinnon (plays in second row). Ashgrove were a quality side today...

Couldn't agree more. Padua will be a force in the years to come in the AIC.

Completely agree from a Marist old boy. Padua deserved the win after being a man down at multiple times and still keeping defence intact. Very physical and great game from both sides.

Padua 16 - Marist 5

Marist 16A's went down 21 - 19 to Padua if anybody is interested. Absolute thriller.

I understand that.. Which is why I said I will be expecting a similar performance this year, i.e. a tight first half (possible Padua or Marist lead) however in the second 35 a dominant display by Ashgrove to win.

Agreed with above with regards to the Ashgrove v Padua game. Ashgrove really did turn up to play last week against Villa, they looked like a team on their way to a premiership, I understand however Villa isn't one of the tougher teams this year. This weekend will be a great test for bothsides...
