All this competitions in SA makes our reffing structure bigger. It gives Watson the oppertunity to nurture up and coming refs through the system to SupeRugby level. We have an CC U21 & U19 competition. The CC Premie provinces have their U21s and U19s on contracts. They also have academies for the U19 contracted players. The Varsity Cup have now an u20 age level competition and this make our pool to pick for the provinces even bigger.

I dont agree fully Broer. SA have an excellent ref structure going which will manufacture constant top refs. I am not an expert but understand SupeRugby refs have to do CC/ITM rugby before qualifying. Thats probably ARU biggest challenge because they have to send your refs at big cost to this...

Problem is Australia dont have refs and a big concern for me. You only have the Kiwi chicken runner Walsch, there is something seriously wrong with the ARU in this regard.

The biggest Stormers concern for me is Coetzee Jake Whites filosophy regarding fetcher flankers. Vokken idiotic to play without them and it wont be long before we lose the Ikeys and Maties fetcher flanker captains to other provinces.
