i was suprised how poor his effort to tackle edmonds was, i thought he was a good 1 on 1 tackler because of his trysaving tackle on spies at newlands (?). i think the tackle is in the james o'connor 2009 highlights video. in any case he should have made the tackle last night as a fullback.

the force do have a pretty epic pack, albiet a bit of weakness in the second row. but that backrow is bloody impressive.

Maybe he didnt "throw the toys out of the pram", maybe he was waiting for a good opportunity to bow out with some class and nobility?

ive been to public and private schools and played rugby in both. the differences are interesting.

i remember being at a norths game that beale was playing at and he missed a conversion from right in front, about 20 metres out. it wasnt that he missed.... it was that he kicked it under the crossbar that was shocking.

well beale, barnes and halangahu can kick, but none of them are exactly perfect kickers. I suppose they might decide who will kick based on where the kick is, who is on the field and, being backs, how theyre feeling.

on a sort of JJ related note, i remember my old man saying that JJ would have been the greatest union half and that gregan would have been the greatest league half. but i digress. any word on who will be goal kicking for the waratahs?

Can anyone make an informed prediction for Mark Bartholemuez's 2010 performance? Ive heard about his career but ive never watched him play. I gather his performance in the Force vs Reds trial was adequate, but is this a season long solution to the Force's number 10 woes?

i dont have and have never had foxtel/austar. i have only ever watched maybe 5 full super 14 matches because of this. i attribute the comparitively low popularity of rugby union in australia to the extremely low amount of free to air exposure that rugby has. i would be pleased with waratahjesus'...
