    Rebels 2016

I just got an email about an open training session next Thursday. I'll probably go along and take my camera. I'd be happy to make some photos available to use on the site if you're interested in that.

Looks like Crumbs Hegarty has signed with the 'Tahs.

The back row I would like to see (although I doubt I ever will) would be 6/ Jones, 7/ McMahon, 8/ Thomson with Colby on the bench (finisher :)) and either Jeffries or Retallick partnering LT at lock. We would lack a pilfering option till Colby comes on but, we would have three line out options...

    Japan Super Rugby team

I take your point about wanting a larger gentleman in the backs but I don't think they'll leave out Yamada. The guy scores tries, 13 tries in 14 test matches isn't bad and, in the Top League he averages about one try per game. I wish the Force had given him a crack last year.

Until yesterday I thought Eurosport only did Top14. I found the Top League matches by accident, channel surfing. It made for a very lazy afternoon in front of the tellie!

Top League 1/4 finals matches are on the tellie ATM, Eurosport. Canon vs Panasonic on now. Toyota vs Toshiba coming up.

I actually think the Rebs do a pretty decent job, at least with Facebook and Instagram. What do you think they could do to make it better?

Then I expect the Rebels will hit 300,000 by the end of 2016 :D

Interesting that the Storm have five times more followers than the Rebels but pretty similar game attendance.

I've flown to Japan many times using both Jetstar and Qantas. Jetstar isn't that bad and, it's a direct flight. The downside is that Jetstar uses terminal 3 at Narita. That means you need to walk to terminal 2 (650 metres) and then catch the Narita Express to Tokyo/Shinjuku (about 1h:40, costs...

Are the other categories filled though? The "Partners" page on the website is still blank. Land Rover and Massey Ferguson are listed as platinum partners, BLK and Kingston Tours are also on board. I assume that most of BLK's and Kingston's investment would be in some form of contra. Yakult...

I'm thinking about avoiding the whole lanyard debacle by super-gluing my card onto the peak of my cap.

The lineout is still going to be a problem next year regardless of who is throwing it in. We really only have Jones and then Thomson, Colby and Sean probably switching around at the front. Might be worth trying either Retallick or Big Red starting with LT at #8 and Thomson on the bench covering...

    I reckon your starting 15 is probably spot on. There will be some solid competition for bench spots though... 16. Pat/Siliva 19. Retallick/Big Red/Cummins 20. Jordy/Fug 22. Hodge/Engo 23. Crawford/Jonah
