    Brumbies 2021

Only worry for the Brums is the 1yr deals that seem to be happening. Hanson is going to be a very good fullback, there will be massive interest in him and if he isn’t playing regularly in 12months he will look to move. Kuenzle I wouldn’t be too worried about, don’t think there would be too much...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Reading it, the headline makes more of what the journalist actually reports Hodgson said. Not much in it and wouldn’t be worried, Hodgson just showing due diligence as you’d expect someone in his position to do. Article does state that Force have confirmed they will approach Rodda, Lucas and...

    Wallabies 2020

Unfortunately Jim Stewart had to retire after a serious injury only a few games into his pro career. Serious neck injury from memory.

    Wallabies 2020

Hunts only real options are in Aus and NZ, because he has a criminal conviction he would find it difficult to find a job overseas. There is obviously appeals and ways around this but not sure if an overseas team would be bothered.

    Wallabies 2020

Magnay shouldn’t be near the squad. He seems to have lost some speed with his numerous injuries and for a guy his size needs to be considerably more explosive. He’s a decent defender and solid player all round but solid isn’t good enough for international level. Paisami is a great tackler but...

Super Rugby Rnd 10: Reds v Brumbies 5 Sept

Interesting to note that not 1 team won a genuine interstate away match because the travel conditions on the day are insane. Wonder if that played a role in the Brums performance. Only time a team won after hopping on a plane was the Tahs against Force, but a little harsh of the Force to call...

    Rebels 2020

I haven’t seen anything to suggest Strang is with the squad, but then again it would make sense to have had him there the last couple of months

    Rebels 2020

We all understand it’s making the finals in a 5 team comp, but to me it’s about the club been exposed to high pressure games so they aren’t deers in the headlights when they do play them. Just been involved in any sort of finals should help the club and players learn how to handle them. Only...

    Wallabies 2020

Talent will almost always trump cohesion. But cohesive talent will trump just talent. People are forgetting you still search for the talent to become cohesive with first.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

Would love to know where the money is coming from because a bunch of ex-ABs isn’t it (unless they are dealing drugs on the side). They are most likely figureheads with someone else putting money in. As it stands they are all show and no substance. Happy to be corrected as it sounds like a cool...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yesterday was the start of the process to accept bids, this could take weeks. Also doesn’t mean companies have to issue tender on the first day, it’s just the first day RA is open to receiving them.

    Wallabies 2020

Not sure about prior to professionalism, but only 1 World Cup winning combo (Gregan and Larkham) has come from guys that played together at club level. I’d rather pick the two best guys and they can build a combo from there, that way the ceiling is higher once cohesion is achieved.

My thoughts are if there is 5 of anything in life that constitutes dilution then there is far greater problems.

Been a breakout year for him in SS. Would be pretty close to player of the season if it finished now. I understand he’s heading to the US at seasons end, no idea on length or if that’s 100% confirmed. Went through a very similar path to Paisami, hopefully he gets the same 2nd opportunity.

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

Has been very good all season but in all honesty 4th in line for the LH role. Slipper, Sio and HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) (according to PONI), that seems about right to me as well.

https://vic.rugby/news/2020/09/03/academy-players-abroad Where some of the academy lads have moved during the pandemic. Ola Taulangi is also at Gordon playing lock in SS. Gordon has a real Vic presence this season with 4-5 Vic products playing regularly, so if you’re looking for a SS team to...

Super Rugby AU Round 10 - Rebels v Force, 3.00pm AEST Sat 5th September

Anderson will be an outside back/13 option, also could fill in the backrow if needed. Played the majority of his football as a forward but obviously making the transition to the backs since been in the 7s program. I personally think he’s the best player in the 7s team, not that it means anything...
