    Wallabies 2020

Simone has been going really well for the Brums. I was impressed with his all round game last night, particularly his kicking. Would be an option as an additional centre, for mine would be in front of Hodge.

    Western Force 2020

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by what the Force had achieved so far. With the exception of last night they have been in the contest of each of their games for the entire match. They are no doubt a couple of players short in areas, depth is also an issue. That said coming off a longer...

    Wallabies 2020

Wright was impressive last night, showed the full range of skills. His running is electric, great footwork, has a passing game and even showed a long boot on a couple of occasions to.

    Waratahs 2020

Ive seen him play several times also. Not saying he isn't talented, but he didnt destroy GPS rugby as some have made out or his highlights suggests, he had his moments where he played well. The original argument was that paying ludicrous money to a player untried at that level, given he wasn't...

    Waratahs 2020

Reminds me of the hype around the schoolboy footage of Tyrone Taukamo

    Waratahs 2020

Training with the NRL team for talented juniors isn't that rare. a number of the better 16/17/18 year olds do a few weeks of pre season with NRL teams during school holidays. Seen plenty of players train like Tarzan also. Proof is on the field and he hasnt yet done anything to justify ridiculous...

    Waratahs 2020

Thats exactly what they are highlights, against kids. we've all seen many highlights videos of many kids some we never hear of again, others struggle in open age groups, few ever transfer those "highlights" into anything meaningful. No doubt his size and athleticism are great against 16 year...

    Waratahs 2020

Have to disagree: 1. He is a good age player, quite different than going up against open age men. He wasn't head and shoulders ahead in last years Schoolboys team. 2. Strike back is one thing, we did that with young ones like Harris, Bell, Harrison as well as Korobriete, T Wright and Vunivalu...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Considering his current contract is worth a reported 1 mil a year. RA are going to need to find more benefactors to come to their aid next year for Crichton.

    Australian Rugby / RA

RA interim chief executive, Rob Clarke, shot back. “Financial offers being speculated in the media presently are totally fanciful, and is being propagated by the usual suspects whose sole interest it is to inflate and misrepresent contract values,” Clarke said. Nevertheless, RA is desperate to...

    Australian Rugby / RA

The signing of Joseph Sua'ali'i could be at once the best and worst outcome for Rugby Australia among the many controversial decisions they’ve made in recent years. “This is ridiculous,” one player said of the report that RA is offering Sua'ali'i $3 million over three years. “How are they offering a...

And the fallout from the rest of the players has apparently begun https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/rugby/joseph-Sua'ali'i-contract-wallabies-players-incensed-by-big-money-offer-to-teenager/news-story/d6d842d60ecfb002b98343716731e663

    Australian Rugby / RA

For those suggesting he could play for the Tahs this year, I think you are being unrealistic. While I admit the kid could be something, he wasn't dominant as a 16 year old last year for the Schoolboys. To step up to Open age Super Rugby would not be fair on the kid or anyone else. A number of...

    Australian Rugby / RA

This is ridiculous. We are struggling with no competition or broadcast deal and we bank the whole house on a 16 year old. Id imagine there would be a lot of current players who would be far from happy with todays announcement.

Or perhaps with Twiggy posturing for the former force players and coaches to return it could be the Melbourne Rebels "Pacific Island" outift

    Wallabies 2020

To be fair if current "form" is the sole selection criteria you'd have Daugunu and Wright. That said Koroibete will be the first winger picked.

    Wallabies 2020

For interest sakes, DHP is 78% while Daugunu is 90%

    Wallabies 2020

rugbypass stats have Wright at 83% and Maddocks at 77% .... thats the thing with statistics. Wright plays as a second fullback for Brumbies with Banks normally, while Kata stays home on his wing.

    Wallabies 2020

Not sure how you come to that conclusion, Daugunu and Wright have both been standouts in each of their games and offer a real point difference. Far better than putting DHP or Maddocks on the wing.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

As I said NZ Internal review stated that an 8 team comp in ideal and current comp is unsustainable. Even with a PI team they have fallen short of the recommendation and if it fails the whole board will take the fall. So the time constraints on RA are time constraints on NZ too. They need us as...
