    Sydney 7's: 3 - 5 February

The money is not the issue, only the top players gets money, more important is to get the sport like the other Olympic sports in schools, then you get a stronger structure.

7s in SA isn't the develop of 15 players like in the past. Its a specialized version of rugby. Its the same with cricket. You cant compare test cricket with T20 cricket. Both versions need specialized players.

Our midgets again played really well when it matter most. They play like true professionals they are. The Aus crowds was fantastic. One huge party and that's what 7s is about. Nice to see good crowds attending. 7s in SA have the very same structures we have for 15s from schoolboy level up to...

    2017 SA Rugby

The cc has always been the heart of SA rugby. Our provinces sell older players and invest in as many youngsters they can. The indications are always to see where and how many schoolboys get contracted. This obvious is our rugby biggest problem. Schoolboy kids earning a lot of money...

    2017 SA Rugby

At the moment most Saffers feel the time is right to remove the Springbok emblem from rugby. Most of them are short sighted and don't understand the way sport works.

    2017 SA Rugby

Dru SA Schoolboy rugby is as strong as its ever been and nothing will change here. The biggest challenge is between schoolboy and u20. The way we provincial contracting cause an upside down salary to players. The best talented schoolboy players are contracted around R80,000 per month. After...

Highlander I don't agree with that. WP would have been stronger if he drank more Loeriefontein water and ate more lamb braai meat.

    2017 SA Rugby

Your Saffer mate is right. SA top schools (Paarl Boys High, PRG, Grey High) have 50% PoC on merit in their teams. I have been a hectic opponent of qoutas, but have change my opinion after having first hand experience. Look at our cricket. If we haven't had this system, no way we would have...

    2017 SA Rugby

SA rugby down to the ground at the moment. Surely bottom but still far from dead as what many Saffer chicken runners hope. Luckily in sport and rugby it work in cycles. Pretty confident that our base is big enough to turn the corner and to take our rightfull place in world rugby. The...

TRC 2016: Matches not involving Australia

The big changes: Paige dropped for de Klerk. (Cant be a rotation, Paige has only played one game) Lambie dropped for Goosen (Cant be a rotation, Lambie has only played one game) Jesse Kriel out, this could be rotation? Kriel & Paige is injured. Goosen is a chicken runner and never should have...
