    QLD GPS Rugby 2018

Hmmmm. More questions than answers there is ( / end Yoda ) A lot of those points you made Nomad depends year on year AIC , at this age group , have some pretty good talent , and , if they were to compete as an AIC Team , I reckon they would definitely beat a GPS 3 Team , would highly...

    AIC Rugby 2018

OK good to know . Thanks It sort of suggest then that maybe too much can be offered which ultimately spreads things too thin I note GPS Schooling ditched AFL in their curriculums 3 years ago

    AIC Rugby 2018

I don't necessarily agree that "more" is the answer When you take into account a preseason / trial season , on average , of 3 games and then School based competition of 8 games then a range of 10 to 12 games is , in my view , sufficient to develop in games Behind all of this there is a...

    AIC Rugby 2018

I think where the AIC have screwed the pooch is in the order of their offering Would have been much better to position Rugby last in Term 3 ( out of the Football Codes ) and leave Track and Field in Term 4 Not having a Sport in Term 4 is pretty lame AFL in Term 1 to develop skill , spatial...

But doesn’t Sport play a significant part in achieving these core aims for a large percentage of kids ?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2018

^ Yeah I had heard the same thing It would have to be some overhaul though considering : The Schoolboy "Internationals" are traditionally played in October The mismatch in timing of AIC and GPS Rugby seasons and their associated preseasons

    AIC Rugby 2018

Anyway .......initial thoughts are I think this is a fantastic outcome for all AIC Schools . It shows some courage in the decision that has been made and a big dose of progressive pragmatism. No confusion at all. The increased level of choice for the boys is a huge boon I doubt that the...

^ No clue - but you’d assume so Around the traps there seems to be a bunch of new kids from different places - so I am sure there will be some surprise packets that not many see coming - and I guess that’s the whole point of trials

Mid way point of the season and a check in on “the January book” In retrospect - it’s probably fair to say SPLC up 1 then SLC down 2

    AIC Rugby 2018

Any chat on SPLC #7 ? Couldn’t make the game due to other commitments - but was certainly looking forward to viewing the contest between SPLC and MCA’s 7 - the latter deservedly gets a lot of attention but the former is no less then his equal IMO

    AIC Rugby 2018

^Considering CSS have been better performing in recent times - 15 to 16 is probably fair enough for AIC as well At 16 a pop that is 32 spots out of 92 which leaves circa 60 spots . Apparently 6 x players from GPS 3 made Queensland Open or Combined States Teams last year
