Super Rugby AU Round 6 - Waratahs vs Reds @ SCG, Saturday 8 August 2020

Where has this team been? Did Penney hand the reins over to the players again this week?

Super Rugby AU Round 6 Rebels v Brumbies, 7.05pm Leichhardt Oval, Friday 7th August

I don't get it, if it's that much of an issue why don't they rest him? They are clearly headed for the finals. They could have played Wright there tonight instead of resting him with Kata and Muirhead on the wings. Id like to see Wright in space at the back.

Banks really hasn't had a good game since the restart

Super Rugby AU Team of the Week

How do you account for the first 3 rounds if you are going to have a team of the comp at the end? Should it just be 1 - 15 get points? What is the make up of the bench?

    Reds 2021

CFS? Thought he had been very good for the reds the last few games, shame for the injury last night.

    Wallabies 2020

Rennie has a tough job picking the 8. Isi, Wilson and Samu are all in really good form. Simple solution is move one to 6 and the other to the bench although that leaves out Valetini and Wright. Nice for a Wallabies coach to have these kind of headaches.

    Wallabies 2020

Id lean towards To'omua at 12 and/or White at 9 just for the experience. Would be a shame for both McDermott and Simone as both are the form players in their positions so far.

    Wallabies 2020

It's good that Rennie is going to have some tough decisions. Difficulty will be how comfortable he is going against the All Blacks with a number of rookies. For me Petaia is a lock at 13 if he can stay healthy and play anywhere near like last night moving forward. That would leave only JOC (James O'Connor) and...

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

Brums definitely missing Lolesio. Distribution and organisation lacking. BK goal kicking not at the same level either

Super Rugby AU Round 5 Brumbies v Reds Saturday 7.15 GIO Stadium

Bad luck to the Reds. They were the better team. Credit to Brums they can beat you a number of ways. Can bore you with set piece and Maul, can play expansive like last week.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Players on RA top ups already receive 10k per wallabies game in addition to their top up.

I would imagine given Twiggy has publicly said that he wants to play and beat the NZ teams that his preference is for TT. Not sure its just the Kiwis who only want Twiggy's money

    Reds 2021

How many league fans will switch over to watch Vunivalu? He isn't exactly a big name player like Folau was or by poaching back a State of Origin player like Ponga, Crichton or Murray. I don't get his signing, sure he played union when younger although his skill set in league is more aerial...

    All Blacks vs Kangaroos?

The Kangaroos could pick a host of former Rugby Schoolboy stars to ensure they had basic skills to be competitive, particularly with uncontested scrums and no lineouts. The biggest rule the would swing the balance would be how far the defence had to be back. If it is anywhere near League's 10...

    Waratahs 2020

Im not sure how true it is that the club was paying for his fees. Sua'ali'i was at Kings before he was at the rabbits. It may have changed in later years.

    Australian Rugby / RA

For mine this is a far better option. Tom Wright, while not anywhere near as highly touted as Sua'ali'i benefitted from a full time League set up straight out of school and now is flourishing. Cam Murray and Angus Crichton both have excelled and are now proven, if we were to try and entice them...

    Wallabies 2020

I remember him coming through in that NSW schoolboys team that had Deegan, Moeroa, Milne, Harry Jones he was the best of the bunch. Went on to dominate at u20s but struggled to bring that same dominance to open age.

    Wallabies 2020

All of a sudden with the emerging players coming through, the rumoured 800k for Vunivalu doesn't seem like money well spent.
