England v Australia, Saturday 3 December

Just saw Cooper get taken out off the ball too. Where's the penalty for that one, Jaco?

England v Australia, Saturday 3 December

It's going to be hard to pick 3-2-1s for this shit show. Naivalu, Hooper and perhaps Timani the best of a bad bunch.

England v Australia, Saturday 3 December

This Wallabies team is just self-destructing. Worst performance of the tour by a long way. In fact I'd say it's worse than any of the performances against England in June too.

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

Regardless of whether it ends up 5-3 or 6-2, I bet we see a classic Cheika "extended bench" of 6-3 and the final team not named til the morning of the game...

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

6-2 does seem likely to me. 23 jersey could be either Cooper or Morahan - Morahan would seem to offer more flexibility, but Cheika does tend to stick with his previous picks in situations like this so Cooper is probably more likely. The extra forward would presumably be either Fardy or...

Ireland v Australia, Saturday 26 November

I don't expect many surprises in the Wallabies starting 15, and I expect we'll see at least Mumm on the bench, and I'm terrified if it's a 6-2 bench we'll get Skelton as well. But full credit to Cheika for the gamble paying off, our only casualty of the possible 23 for Ireland seems to be...

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

No doubt about which French team showed up today, some real flair on display. In for a tight finish.

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Beautiful try, amazing by Kuridrani but a big shoutout to Genia for sparking it. Those snipes from the ruck are the big difference between him and Phipps IMO. Against a rush defence, Phipps comes into his own because he's quicker at clearing the ball, but when the defence is staying flat like...

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

IMO he's being worked over because the French aren't straight. Perfect example in that scrum on their 5m line, when they do scrum straight he doesn't get worked over, and the Aussie scrum was the one going forward.

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

And there's the proof. French scrum on their 5m line, they know they can't afford to give away a penalty so they scrum straight, as proven by the overhead cam, and all over a sudden a) the scrum stays up b) the Wallabies roll them backwards.

France v Australia, Saturday 19 November

Time to do something about the scrum laws, it's a blight on the game at times like this. Has hardly even been a single feed into the scrum yet, never mind one successfully completed. IMO they need to start training up video refs to use the overhead cam to spot players not driving straight. You...

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

I'm not saying the game was a debacle. The game was a near-miss. The debacle was that a mere week after dismantling Wales' rush defence, Scotland used the exact same tactics against us and we acted like stunned mullets. We won by the width of a goal post, when Laidlaw missed the last conversion.

    Scotland v Australia 12Nov16 Saturday

The bulk of the blame for this debacle and near-miss IMO goes to the coaching staff who found a way against Wales to deal effectively with the rush defence (albeit one many of us have been crying out for for months), and then proceeded to ignore it and let the Scots rush us safe in the knowledge...

    G&GR MOTM - Aus v Wales 05/11/16

    3. Foley 2. Coleman 1. DHP HMs to just about the entire team. At half time I was really struggling to think who'd I'd pick for my top 3 as the pretty much all stepped up.

    3. Foley 2. Folau 1. Arnold Good to see two of the most under pressure players standing up.

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Sportsbet have the ABs at $5 to win by 40+. Considering we lost by 34 in Sydney in game 1, this seems very good odds. I do believe the Wallabies will do better than Sydney but there's certainly a chance they'll do worse.

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Win ratio does not equal performance. Are you suggesting that every flyhalf over the last 30 years has performed to the same standard because none of them won at Eden Park? I know it's a difficult to thing to measure objectively, but I don't think it's a controversial statement to say Cooper...

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

I do think this stuff about the team announcement being delayed for Pocock's fitness is smoke and mirrors from Cheika. I reckon there is a good chance the real reason is because he wants to spring a selection surprise in the backs and doesn't want to give the ABs time to train for it. I...
