Just have someone (please) post up regular updates from the 2nd's match onwards - there are a few awaiting this match up with interest - I think it will probably point to the likely season winner.

And Lo - so it was - with the second coming of the Joker boredom was forever banished from the thread. Meanwhile the Overlords of the thread greeted the said coming with fear and trembling. What would the Joker do next. Would the forces of the politically correct with their social justice...

I have no idea who will take the cake this year but as far as Barker v Waverley is concerned, I hope the match will be up to the quality of the 2017 and 2018 clashes, which were biblical. If the matches reach anywhere near that standard that will do me. The rest is incidental.

Aah I dont think I would be writing off Barker just yet fellers. Give it some time before making bold predictions. This year will be the tightest I think I have seen the comp for quite a few years.

I m an old Boy. As far as I know - since the 1970's - they have not fielded that many opens teams. It has always been 5 or 6.

Barker most years fields 5 open teams, on the odd year it is 6.

I saw the Barker/View match on Saturday and agree with Rod's comments. The ball handling errors were hard to watch and View took advantage of every mistake. I thought Schmidt for View looked as if he was struggling with his conditioning after the first twenty minutes which may explain why he was...

Mmmm Joker...perhaps Joeys is - perhaps - a tad cautious about the Anglican challenge this Saturday? Are they beefing the lads up on Horse balls in anticipation? Cant predict what those dirty Anglos might get up to.....

Maybe this year may be one more approaching perfect competition - at least in the top 4 - with game outcomes being determined on error rates rather than talent abundance. Should lead to some great games.

Having served on Synod for many years, I have to agree with you B&W. When synod commenced talking about banning aboriginal smoking ceremonies on church land and evil things like Yoga...well....I had enough. It is becoming more intolerant, out of touch and anal with each year.

Well written P Parker. An ominous score.
