Well look you might be right, I just know the props in the year 12 group are very good and the grade 11 boy who broke his femur had only played 1 season at prop and while he had a great chance to come off the bench I find it hard to believe he could start. Of course, in the 6 or more months...

I'd put "props" in quotations marks because frankly the poor kid was not going to play prop in this years first XV. He's in grade 11 and there's quite a few boys who would have been selected ahead of him. Still a broken Femur and he's out all year! The 16As will miss him. Speaking of Props...

There was 4 boys, perhaps 5 ... I can absolutely guareentee you of that! One boy at least even left Nudgee because he was pushed out of the A's ...

That's actually consistent with what I said, except you have 2 more coming into the 14s next year. All I know is that there is only 1 boy related to this years U14A no. 13 coming to GT next year, and next years 13s are getting 2 new boys including him, while next years 14s are getting 2 new...

The GT 14A side season highlights... Unfortunately the video doesn't have footage from every game. There is some talent to manage through to the firsts at GT for sure! On a side note, I have heard also that next years GT 13s and 14s will have new players... About 2 for each.

Given that the 15s is constantly interrupted by things like immersion, and the 16s act like a reserve grade for the firsts, the 15A and 16A competitions don't carry much weight. This is probably why you hear more about 13s and 14s (and some 11s and 12s now that they play the GPS schools). You...

Here here, and without substantial luck in terms of injuries and personnel it's almost impossible to get up every week to be on top of your game. Which is what I really think happened this year. We forget sometimes how much stress physically and emotionally is packed into this 9 week...

There is no official premiersip or points allocation outside of the First XV, it doesn't exist so there are no rules. You can create "pretend" premierships either by wins or allocating points as per the Firxt XV competition rules. The latter of which most people do.

I think you will find there is no such thing as a premiership outside of the firsts. All we're doing is "pretending" that points were allocated in the same way as the first XV competition as there are no rules at all.

Actually there was a lot of drawn "premierships" in the age groups. TSS and NC tied in the 16s. 1. TSS & NC 3. BBC IGS and NC tied in the 15s. 15A: 1. IGS & NC 3. TSS GT and BBC tied in the 14s. 14A: 1. BBC & GT 3. BSHS and also: 12A 1. GT 2. BSHS & NC 11A 1. BBC 2. NC 3. TSS

There was all sorts of shenanigans going on in the final ruck of the game, the ref could have blown more than 5 penalties both wats easily. Still GT fumbled in a panic and BSHS exploited it. GT 3 try's to 2, I thought it was a probably a fair draw.

Hmm, GT outplayed a BSHS side who had better individuals overall, but IMHO that was the difference. GT played as a team despite missing their 12, 2, and 8, while BSHS played as individuals.

Agreed it was a good game. Very well played from IGS! This was the first time I'd be able to watch a full match of that NC 15s team everyone has been talking about. They really didn't play as well as people had spoken about them ... Have the standards slipped, are boys out injured?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2015

The intensity was there, I think just honestly some of the GT pack were found out. I dare any team in the 14s to withstand that onslaught from NC and keep them to just two try's, both from their exceptionally strong and fast 13. They may have lacked a bit of structure at the ruck, but unforced...

Wait the referee was the NC 16A coach? Are you having me on? He smashed GT, penalty count was massively one sided, that is ridiculous. I mean GT had some poor luck with some big injuries but you could easily argue the massive penalty count was equally a factor, and even with both of those...

How did GT get so close?? At 21-0 I thought it was over but despite playing some average footy GT still managed to get really close! Imagine if they got their act together! Game of the day for me was the 12 all draw in the 14As. GT lost their big 12 early and it hurt them, then they lost their...

An good win against IGS yes, a fumbling win over BGS that should have been easier, a soft win over TGS, and Churchie played terribly against GT. You can play aimless rugby and not get punished for it. That's why I'd have been furious with TGS against GT. But we'll see if my prediction comes...

Given we're talking about GT v NC 1st XV match I'm going to predict GT get smashed. NC will be hurting and the GT firsts look aimless this year. Even in their win against TGS I thought they were poor, just seemed to be getting away with soft options. I'd have been furious if I coached TGS.

If schools are going to "invest" in rugby talent they also need to invest in coaching.

Gee everyone jumps onto flashy backs band wagon... Best on ground was GT #7 without a doubt. Some massive plays from him, and a work rate second to none.
