Interesting, in the article it also mentions "current squad member, Lewis Holland". Perhaps he and Anderson will be sticking around for another crack?

Rugby Championship in an Aussie bubble?

It certainly would have made the decision not to come a lot easier.

Rugby Championship in an Aussie bubble?

I really hope that some loophole can be found to prevent SA Rugby from getting any payment out of this. I assume the collective bargaining agreement was put in place to cover the event that one of the partners was unable to participate due to matters out of their control. This was the SARU...

Rugby Championship in an Aussie bubble?

Yes, I am rather bitter. If the recent quotes attributed to Duane Vermeulen are correct, and the players had not even been contacted about the RC, it suggests that RSA never had any intention of coming. I guess they were hoping their government would have announced that they can't travel and...

Rugby Championship in an Aussie bubble?

If it does go ahead I'll be cheering for the BILS for the first time ever.

Rugby Championship in an Aussie bubble?

Didn't the four SANZAAR partners vote on various stuff re the RC a while back? Like the length of the tournament etc. The fact tha RSA and the Argies voted for a six week tournament is what caused all the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Kiwis. Seems to be a bit weird for RSA to be...

I have no idea about the 7s guys but I wouldn't mind betting they stay with the squad until a decision on whether the Olympics are going ahead next year is made. Particularly Anderson, he has said he wants to play 15s longer term.

It would be nice to have Philip, Hosea, and Koegelenberg all in the 23. The Big K was impressive in his starts. Anyone heard any more about Steve Cummins coming back?

I think Wells has played a few good games and is a really good depth signing. I'd say he'd be 3rd choice 8 behind Isi and Leota and 3rd choice 6 after Kemeny and Leota. Very decent backup.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It's worth noting that Amazon already show plenty of live sport in the US, even if it is mostly repackaged content from other broadcasters. I'd guess that we would have to pay an additional fee to subscribe to a rugby channel.

AFAIK, at this point neither signing has been announced officially.

I forgot all about Skelton, even after the Rebels had put out a couple of articles about him. Lomani signed a two year deal for 2020 & 21.
