There was an injured BBC player to the right of where the winning goal kick was taken. Those with access to the footage may be able to see if he was taken off on the eastern side. If so then it was 15 v 15. If there were 16 players on the park, there are two possible laws of the game that...

To respond to a few posts * Looked at the Ash v SPLC game yesterday and I don't think Ashgrove were "robbed". The last penalty was a fair call (Ash player laying all over the ball) and in some ways you would have to say that justice was done - the pick and drive game plan by Ash might have been...

Went out for the early games involving Nudgee, Churchie, Terrace, BGS, BCC, TSS and while it was hard to keep track of what was going on with two fields going at once, I think that we had Nudgee d Churchie Terrace d Churchie Nudgee d Terrace BBC d BGS TSS d BBC TSS d BGS You do have to take...

Peters trialled against Padua last week. From what I heard both sides well understrength. Halfback Sorovi (Qld U16 last year) went well. St Peters looked good from broken play and out wide, Padua made some ground through the forwards. SPLC finished a try or two ahead.

I would be interested in Ian Jones GPS (and other) coaching record. If some of the more knowledgable folks on this forum can supply the information, it would be worth a read.

There are two schools in AIC / GPS that I know of that have clocks that count down time during a game - IGS and St Peters and inevitably they stuff it up every time. The laws of the game say that the referee is the sole judge of time, so a number of questions must be asked 1. Under whose...

The correct score in Nudgee v State High was 48-28. Nudgee never in danger, James controlled the game early, Tuttle a couple of tries early in second half before he was taken off. Also TGS 38 Downlands 8 - three quick tries in 10 mins mid game and it was good as over.

A few points about SPLC - it is a boarding school (not the size of Ashgrove) and the nature of boarding these days is such that more students are boarding later in life, so a lot of good rugby players don't come in until later also St Peters (and other schools) participate in an indigenous...

    AIC Rugby 2012

Well for all of the huffing and puffing that goes on on this forum about players not playing their "full sides" in trials, it would appear to me that much of the pre season trial form has held up in the first round, the only exception being Ashgrove, whose form against Sydney opponents was...

Ashgrove 18-0 over Iona - a big result for a wet day!

Ashgrove played Barker (NSW) during the week, as did St Peters. Barker won both 24-7 over Ashgrove and 33-17 over St Peters. My people are telling me that Rambi scored a 90m try (not an intercept) in the latter game.

Eddies v St Peters was 36-14 to Eddies. Eddies were always ahead and looked very dangerous in counter attack but SPLC played it out till the end - it could have easily been 29-21 except for a turnover on the SEC line at the death led to a late Eddies try. For Eddies the hooker caught my eye as...

Peters might have an interesting side 5ish returning from the 1st XV of 2011 + 5 members of the Under 15 State Championship winning Met West side (which beat Met North full of Nudgee and Ashgrove Players) stepping up. Add in a couple of reasonably competent 16A's. The backline will be super...

And Downlands 31 defeated Ipswich 0. Ippy rested more than half their team, but nevertheless a clinical and tactically superior performance from the Downs boys.
