I would have thought you'd have 2 x viable options there next year BAG ? Quinn Siolo and Jordyn Bell Pat Elekana had a pretty good go of it as well considering he'd never played there before

I guess he went OK if GT got up I always liked him at 9/10 where he played a lot of his junior Rugby before heading to the back row last season I reckon 9 or 10 is his natural spot

@ Getwithme re BSHS I count 8 returning U16 players and probably another 2 to 3 from their current U16 team , so , they will need to rely on 14 to 15 U16 players next year and pray for no injuries as their Seconds and 16A's next year don't project to be that good ( if at least 8 to 9 of them...

Maybe a factor no one is taking into account is the recent spate of spinal injuries and concerned parents ( and players ) having some impact in available persons for the front row I'm not saying it is the case but it may be a factor

So NC and TSS are obviously undefeated But then we have ACGS with 5 wins BBC with 4 wins BSHS with 3 wins IGS with 2 wins BGS with 2 wins GT with 2 wins TGS with 1 win Hmmmm. Nudgee over TSS - 1 and 2 respectively BBC over ACGS ( if BBC can adjust ) for tied 3rd BSHS over IGS...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2018

The recruitment line has been levelled off at U14 - but U14’s fell 7-3 - put up a great effort and will finish in 2nd place so it seems Nothing much happening downstream at BBC . Hey now ....hey now

    QLD GPS Rugby 2018

Non Worst case is equal 4th Best case is equal 3rd Good to see Terrace looking like they’ll avoid the spoon Of course they have to get past Woomba at Woomba next week - and they’ve got feed in the trough after a hard fought win over a plucky Grammar Team Terrace to be training in oxygen...

Yeah all credit to BSHS. Their attitude and defensive tone set in the first half was first class BSHS Centre , Wian Joubert, was outstanding - maybe one of the best individual efforts I have seen in GPS First XV Rugby in 2 years Word is BBC tried to take out an AVO order on him at half time

    QLD GPS Rugby 2018

Yeah the 2nds has been a real interesting Race this year BBC had TSS on the rack and TSS just came steam rolling home and then kicked the winning penalty into the wind on the full time horn from about 40m out - literally hit the black dot and bounced over I'm not really sure what happened...

So from the consideration of Team of the Year etc - I ran a Top 3 by position based on what I've seen this season , individual impact on team performance and end results So 45 spots - and no great surprises with TSS at 11 ( 4 x 18 year olds ) NC at 8 ( 2 x 18 year olds ) and ACGS at 7 ( with I...

Churchie v Nudgee - Nudgee by 12 Terrace v Ipswich - Ipswich by 5 BSHS v BBC - BBC by 10 BGS v TGS - BGS by 3 Which , next week , would have : Nudgee and TSS playing off for 1 and 2 BBC and Churchie playing off for 3 and 4 Ipswich and BSHS playing off 5 and 6 TGS and GT playing off to...

@ Darkside That's fair enough although I do note the All Blacks use of Dane Coles and Cody Taylor a lot in the 15m channel ( Coles more than Taylor though ) Anyway ......NC's Tevita Katuu set piece has been very strong all year and Zac Crothers is probably the best all rounder in the Group ...

Yeah its impossible to leave Flook out . He really stood up at Nationals on a heavily flawed QLD 2 team and has carried that form right through the season . There are plenty of guys that would get picked ahead of him on the superficial vote but this guy just makes plays and is a significant part...

Yeah - good call - especially on Drekown Brown . He was the guy that could have made a BIG difference for Churchie this year at 12 . An unfortunate neck injury has finished his contact sporting days , however , has stayed at the school and around the team as their student manager from what I...
