I won't tip against Knox either - there was a statement before last week's game that Waverley would have the mental edge . Knox began badly and Waverley controlled the game. Knox was rattled but was able to turn it around after halftime. I think this experience should encourage the Knox team...

[quote="BRUMBIEJACK, post: 844953, My comment re the advert for the Thredbo ski trip in the luxurious senior school centre is nothing about having a chip, but more about the unreality of these privileged lives and the apparent unwillingness of such schools to place an emphasis on service to...

How about giving Waverley more credit for a spirited and skillful display?

Knox rattled - scrum being dominated - Waverley winning the contests for the ball - half time can't come quick enough 20-5 W Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think that the similarities exceed the differences by a considerable amount. There will be objective differences in some factors but I don't agree that in attitudes, aspirations or behaviour to name a few that there is any significant difference.

With all the hype over the Waverley Knox fixture it seems that the W v K 14B game has slipped under the radar - game 2 of a potential 4 game series is at Death Valley No 2. Game 1 at Gillespie was very tight in the first half with four lead changes - Waverley finished much the stronger and ran...

How do Waverley score 17 against the team of Titans you describe? I am a strong devotee of not counting chickens and it isn't over until the fat lady sings. The fact that they have never lost in this age group is somewhat irrelevant with both teams having lads from other age groups in them now...

Question for the rule buffs - Knox v Barker Ist half ref had his arm up indicating advantage to barker - barker booted the ball down field unit Knox 22 ref put his whistle up to his mouth about to blow for the penalty deeming no advantage but then sees the ball bounce awkwardly and decides to...

To add to this interesting information there has I believe been a significant increase in the size of year 7 this year - I can't tell you the actual number but it is a big increase from the 180 in my year back in 72 - perhaps someone can provide the number of boys in year 7 Sent from my...

The rise of AFL - my son in year 9 at Knox says AFL is taking off - 2 teams in every age group ( really? ) with 18 players on the field that is a lot of players. I can't attest to the veracity of this as he is wont to exaggerate from time to time. I think AFL is seen by some as less dangerous...

I tend to agree, the one round competition puts it all on the line each game and makes upsets more significant - it's good for the boys to play teams outside the CAS - one question though would they be able to fill their calendar? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Joeys too good - strong base set by forwards - slick back line - capitalized - but some positives for Knox - at times in the first half looked to be on top but unable to get over the line due to excellent defense - joeys scored twice from turnover ball - their backs very impressive Sent...

Knox parent reply - Knox seems to be caught between a rock and a hard place - if they don't win with all the effort that was expended they or the coach are underperforming but if they do win they have bought a premiership. I don't know how many of the lads in the first XV have had any...
