As a neutral that was either a penalty try or, at worst, a penalty right in front of the posts for clear obstruction. Terrible decision.

Good summary there DF. Pretty sure that Padua’s only wins ever v MCA were in 2015/2016 - two excellent Padua sides who were the better team on the day but both games were close and in each year Padua’s big pack was supported by some great backline talent. Not so sure about their backs this year...

Regarding Kenyan Tauakapilu, has it ever been explained how he starts the 2019 school rugby season at St Kent's in Auckland as a likely selection for NZ Schools but then ends up at SLPC, of all places? I get that he wouldn't have been allowed to simply turn up and play in the Brisbane GPS comp...

OK, does this Nudgee parent know that last year, at Indooroopilly, MCA beat SPLC 61-0 in the First XV game, there was a similar scoreline in the 10A's and SPLC didn't even field a team in the Seconds comp? Now, anyone who's been around for while knows that if SPLC decides to "invest" in a...

I’d expect Matt Mitchell to be the 9, Harry Whitten to be the 10, both Second XV this year. Wings will be Dwayne Ludwick and Hunter Dreghorn, both back from this year’s First XV, same with Floyd Aubrey back at 15. Centres will probably be Hayden Lammon at 12 (Qld U15 rep in both league and...

I'm not sure that "expense" has much to do with it, in the sense that if a school has places available, i.e. the house is not full, then they're not foregoing fee income they would otherwise have earned by giving one of those places to a sportsman. Obviously there's a bit of a difference with...

Just out of interest GO, and others might also know the answer, does your reference to "I’m hearing 2nd Row depth will be be added" suggest that BBC's sporting scholarship program has not been ended by the new(ish) Headmaster after all? My impression from reading posts by some BBC affiliates...

Emosi is still only 18, so plenty of time and opportunities for him if he's good enough.

Serious question, but does anyone really care about the league comp? I’m happy enough for the boys to have a season of league post-rugby, but at the moment it’s of no great interest to me.

Yep, agree with your thought on Moller, country boy with size and strength who runs good lines. I think that Campbell's the kind of guy who might have made the Qld 2 side under the old system, not that I think he's too worried about missing out as the boys are straight into the rugby league...

Good summary, Confucius, and I agree with your bests for each side. I also noted how long it took for Ash to make a mistake, they were clinical in the first half especially with a new 10 as playmaker, a very well-drilled and fit side. Clash of the heavyweight centre pairings was interesting...
