At the moment I hear Springfield and Riverside say they are nominating 2 teams however from numbers they have had at training it is impossible to see it sustainable. It is a great idea in theory to merge comps however springing it on clubs a month before season starts will be a very hard sell.

At yesterdays training Higgers looked like he was still in the Run on Team group however Tui was in the yellow bib reserves team.

Sorry but McDermott did not play exceptionally.... made one good step and pass. But his service and work around the base was ordinary - admittedly behind a beaten and tiring pack. CFS, Tua (in patches), Lance and Korczyk can all hold their heads up. Long Long season ahead.............

I have heard differently from reliable people that Thorn has always made comments on his thoughts of Quade and Frisby - and his perceptions of their attitude, commitment and roll on affect to the squad. From what I am told it was a genuine case of they forget to organise trial games until it was too late and teams were booked. In my opinion it is just another case of incompetence

100% it does - but common sense can't be found in QSRU Committee or QRU committee for that matter. With a bit of luck at the upcoming AGM for Subbies some new blood gets in on the executive and they can inject some enthusiasm into the comp.
