Albany Creek had 8 players involved in last years U12 Skills carnival - although a 'development carnival' they would have had to have shown a certain level of skill to be selected. Maybe a case of movement between clubs which appears to have occurred a lot in this years U13 teams.

Agree was not the best carnival I have seen (seen 5-6 State Champs for this group over the years) as it has been mentioned above I felt the league component added a very unstructured element to each game.....noticed a lot of 'Bang Crash' and lose the ball....or run take 3 defenders and randomly...

FYI......U12 State Champs was fantastic with GPS lads well represented.....from Meteast, Metnorth, Metwest & South Coast.....some good talent coming through....eventual winners Meteast !!

BGS 12A - Narrow loss to TGS round 4 I think

A test for sure - however the 12A/B hybrid side matched the bigger BSHS 13C's last week in the forwards setting up a 47 -0 win......2 forwards out with 5 backs also.......1 remains in the backs from the 4X100m relay team that set a Metwest record midweek...3 of the team at Sunnybank this...

Regarding BSHS.......are they only fielding A & B team's?.....from what I have read the teams to date throughout all age groups have performed fairly well.....if you consider the incumbent will be there for the long-haul........with new lads joining ranks down the track I reckon there may not be...

Have seen a few IGS games this season and the A teams have notable players from 12A up........ I guess the shortfall will come later when depth becomes an issue.....pretty sure 7 or so U12 met west reps this year with more in the U15 met west squad?
