Well Round 5 done and dusted ! Congrats to Churchie on getting their 1st win - notable game from the #9, Henry Wilson ,who really set the tone early - and get this ( according to Double Take ) 45 tackles after 4 rounds to lead his team defensively. Unbelievable effort from a #9 , however , and...

Yeah I understand the frustration. Scrum looks serviceable and on ball game is solid with Aidan King always being strong here , and I was surprised he didn't complete his transition to 7 this year and thought LDD may have completed the back row with Sword Senior and then the bloke that started...

Yowza TBH ....I was a bit whateves on the 8 but the 13 was ripping it up through the trial season and I was expecting big things from him this season. I wonder whether the I'm all out of love Air Supply situation you allude to co-incides with the previous Coach who recruited them from...

Disagree. Their 8 is capable . And their 13 is capable . The Sword Brothers. I like their replacement 12 who busted Grammar open last week too ( yeah ok it was only Grammar ) but he was doing it in the 2nds and looks like he has had some transference of this capacity in Firsts. Good player.

That's right. ACGS have an average to above average scrum that has bested so called contenders whereas Terrace don't have one full stop. ACGS are more committed in defense and on the ground which is why I have them for the win despite reports of internal issues

I think Churchie can win against Terrace ( who basically don’t have a set piece ) that will give them their 1st win if the season After that , I don’t see Churchie winning again If you look at the bottom half of the table I reckon : Grammar go through without a win Churchie end up with 1 x...

Nudgee really seemed to find that extra gear against Ipswich in the last 20m of the game that hadn’t really been there through the trial season and the early part of the season proper. Speed of their recycle picked up in the attack ruck which was a big factor - but on the other side of the...

There is more than one reason that I am sure you, and others , have their views on but let’s start with : 1. 3 x FIrst Squad Front Rowers missing for the first 2 to 3 rounds 2. A First Squad lock / back rower and a First Squad back rower missing for 2 of the first 3 x rounds 3. A First Squad No...

Depth was alright as evidenced by the 12-12 result at half time with a front row that would be a 3rd XV front row if not for players being held out or still not right to go. Similarly at #10 down the stretch where 3rd or 4th on the depth chart was played. Add to which 3 x Firsts Squad players...

Put it into perspective - 20 points scored by Nudgee in the last 15m of what was a one score game Maybe some tired legs with a couple of the IGS forwards but it was clear they really missed Ethan King in the midfield / outside defense where it got cracked open Credit to Nudgee however who are...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2019

Pffff. The only "money" lineout and scrum after the first 3 rounds has been TSS. Everything and everyone else is about degrees of poo despite some of the more fancied playing supposed set piece specialists. But look at Terrace ......they probably have the worst set piece after 3 rounds yet have...

TGS v TSS - TSS by 24 GT v BSHS - GT by 19 BGS v ACGS - ACGS by 17 NC v IGS - IGS by 10 Nudgee to be relegated :)

I guess you will get to admire their line speed again in 19 more sleeps Line speed is cool though. Tackle completion rates are cooler.

Credit to the Cardiac Kids......otherwise known as the Gregory Terrace First XV for a bold showing at Ross Oval on Saturday. I say the Cardiac Kids as they now have had 3 games that are within a rosary bead of a win. 5 or 6 unforced, easy handling errors have been the main culprit - but a...

^Don't forget the 40 something points per game that Nudgee are putting on the board a well Just out of interest Jack besides the flying hit with no arms ( that you reference above ) what else particularly did you like? Sad to say , but there isn't much you gee up can take by beating up on a...

Well not 70 something but High have yielded 145 odd points to 3 of the top 4 teams of the competition in the first 3 rounds And from what I can tell , they seem to be at reasonably full strength perhaps without their best 9 option and with one of their outside backs gradually working his way...
