    Western Force 2013

You seem almost as excited as Wayne Smith to report that.

Well, that's pretty good news. That covers the 9 spot, and Sheehan has been playing pretty well this season. He seems to have stepped up the speed of his delivery in the latter part of the season.

Question - does anyone know if Vern Reid and "the boys" on the Board are WA residents or East Coasters parachuted in to do the job? This isn't to say that they couldn't do the job if they're not from the West, but the playing environment and market is radically different from Sydney or Brisbane.

I think YOU need to ask yourself: "Self, is he just waiting for the new coach to be hired?" Or, that stuff you cynically suggested... one or the other.

As someone mentioned in the TWF forum, now that they've signed Ebersohn, the Force should be targeting Tapuai or Harris for the 12 spot. I think this backline would be pretty handy, with a few young guns just starting to hit their straps: 10 - Ebersohn 11 - Honey Badger 12 - Harris or Tapuai*...

Force vs Lions Super Rugby 2012 Rnd 14

Those are my two questions: why is Wara not in the side - he's been playing pretty well. If we're punishing for defensive lapses, then explain Harvey being on the bench instead of Wara (I know, goalkicking and can cover 10/15... but still)! And I'm not a fan of the Sidey selection either. I...

IRB and Unions Sanction New Law Trials

What about the modifications for 7's - 5 subs? Not sure I like that one. 3. An amendment to Law 3.4 (Sevens Variation) to enable Sevens teams to nominate up to five replacements/substitutes. Under the revision, which will operate from June 1 2012, a team may substitute or replace up to five...

Reds v. Force Super Rugby Round 6 2012

Haven't gotten a chance to see that match yet - how did he cope with the high ball? To be fair, the Force's kick chase has been pretty poor this year, so on second thought maybe it's not such a bright idea.

Reds v. Force Super Rugby Round 6 2012

I see Davies is named at 15 - would love to see some high balls being rained down on him. Don't think he's equipped to handle that. Wouldn't be exciting, but would be entertaining! It's just too bad that Nalaga isn't healthy - would've loved to those two head-to-head.

    Force v Hurricanes Super Rugby R3 2012

Couldn't agree more, Hawko. I would just put Sheehan to pasture, and use Turner & Stannard at 9 and bring in Seymour in the 2nd half. Looked much better in the 2nd half of the Reds match with the Stannard-Seymour pairing. Seymour's still a little green to throw him a start, though.

Honest Assessment of Richard Graham's Coaching Ability

Better angles? How about ANY angles? The only effort to move defenders around was Chucky running across field, looking for a runner. And there rarely was one.

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

I think, as part of his punishment, they should let Sharpie and Moore give him a "haircut" like theirs. That would have a bigger impact than a fine or standing-down ever would!
