I think you might be right. The team has been selected by Aussie Schools selectors and the ARU High Performance Unit. The management of the Presidents team is as follows; Head coach: Peter Reeves (Chevalier College) Asst coach: Peter Gibson (Trinity Grammar) Manager: John Rownes...

    Commonwealth Games Rugby 7s

That is a very good team capable of a medal. A good mixture of super 14 experience mixed with sevens experience. I thought Gordon's Chris Alcock may have been a chance but he missed out. Keep an eye on him for the future. I think there will be a changing of the guard after the games finish...

    Sydney Colts 2010

Well done to those boys. I have seen Roche and Ford play for CHS last year. Ford is an exceptional runner of the football. One problem I felt he had last year was when injecting himself into the backline he could have linked better with his support players. I hope he has improved that aspect...

    Brumbies 2011

My spies have told me Lindsay Crook, Australian Schools 2010 winger has signed a pro Academy contract with the Brumbies. It will be announced soon by the Brumbies. He was close to going to the Tahs but the offer was too good from down south. I have not seen him play but I'm told he is super...

    Shute Shield 2010

Yeah, I wonder what they are going to do with him. He is currently in the Commonwealth Games Sevens squad but I think he has been called into the Wallabies to cover some injuries. To be honest I hope he goes to Delhi because I think he will kill the sevens and am so looking forward to watching...

If Uni can keep their side together I can't see anyone beating them this season. Their display against the Woods was sensational as the Woods had been in red hot form.

    Sydney Colts 2010

I saw Gordon play against Woodies last week and I was impressed with their set pieces. However their backline attack failed them with a number of dropped balls when the pressure was on. They must of clicked yesterday.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

This is very interesting about TSS challenging the system. They probably did so because Nudgee and others were supplying scholarships and creating an uneven playing field. It seems to me that having the Code of Practice as it currently stands brings no credit on the AAGPS because schools are...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

In line with Scarfman's guidelines I have created this thread. I am very interested in this topic as I have always been of the view that schools should offer the talented sportsperson a scholarship. If they can offer scholarships for the talented musician and talented academic why not the...

Take a reality check Sarge. That is not a good score. No team from Joeys ever dogs it but gee no words can sugercoat a score like that.

2010 is World Cup Year for the women

Here is a good yarn about Wallaroos centre Cheyenne Campbell from the Daily Tele yesterday. Her ARU profile can be seen here http://www.rugby.com.au/players/wallaroos/2010_squad/campbell,_cheyenne,140611.html...

Australian Schoolboys & National Championship 2010

Surely this is a good opportunity to bring in to one of the two teams new ARU sevens signing Jason Seage from Hills Sports. There may be some pressure applied now that he is under contract. Forumites will recall that Seage and Cameron Clarke, Knox Grammar, were both cruelly injured in the...
