G&GR Reds Player of the Match (v Stormers)

I think I've been ignoring Genia from the points recently to share it around, Braid and Van as well because I wanted to credit the young blokes. What I love most about Genia is he just seems to have so much time, like all the truly great players do. His hands are so soft in scooping up the ball...

G&GR Reds Player of the Match (v Stormers)

I'll have to watch it again. Instant response is all of em, especially the pigs. Immense, mature. Hats off to Link and the coaching team.

Melbourne Storm / Rebels / Waldrom

Re: Melbourne Storm stripped of 2007 + 2009 premierships Doc - My memory could be as corupt as a Mungo CEO, but I seem to remeber that the criminal charges arising from the Bulldogs imbroglio stremmed from the Oasis development, not the salary cap reporting???

Free to air Super rugby is back!

Expect a timeslot of Monday night 10.30pm and most weeks pushed to 10.45 because the useless fuckers can;t run their shows on time. I shudder to think who Nine will employ as commentators. Looking at their coverage of League and other sports it'll be clowns like Sam Scott-Young and Campo.

    Reds 2011

It's a toss up on who the bigger dissappointment between Shep and Dunning. Dunning has been a shower of shite for the Force this season. He's a marked man by canny opponents and saffa refs. I really hope the ARU relents and lets Braid resign. If not perhaps the Reds should bank on Daley...

    Will Chambers

He's really only had a handful of starts but his improvement is out of sight, again due to the confidence levels at the Reds. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is our leading OC candidate and there are more options ofr FB now (JOC (James O'Connor), Hynes and Beale). Both Horne and Chambers, along with A Finger need some Australia A games...

    Reds v Bulls. Bris Vegas.

Hynes is so deceptive. The way he returns kicks I sometimes wince that he'll get pummelled but he has that amazing talent for spotting holes and he can turn on the gas without effort. I'd have him on the wing for the Wallabies, but confidently at FB if there was a key injury.

    3. S Finger 2. Higgers 1. Daley Sanchez and several backs were great but this was always going to hinge upon the young bucks in the pack standing up... and they were immense.

Pigs - Donate your brain to science?

I'm happy to donate my shell-like... they won't be needing any formaldehide... it'll come pickled.

G&GR Brumbies Player of the Match (versus Hurricanes)

Even the commentators picked up on it, Gits was so rediculously deep sometimes, he was out of Phibbs site. There's no way the Wallabies can carry him into 3N tests with this sort of form.

Pigs - Donate your brain to science?

Anyone see ABC TV's Catalyst this week? Really interesting and scary (for those of us who've been concussed a few times) story about brain injuries suffered by repeated concussions or head knocks. The story of new research on the donated brains of former American footballers and also features...

G&GR Brumbies Player of the Match (versus Hurricanes)

    3. Huxley 2. Hooper 1. Phibbs Yes, I know Phibbs service was a shower of @#!*% , but he also gave them the most go-forward with some darting runs. Hooper is developing well. Chis shouldn't have been let back on after his knock. The poor cat got it the boot last night. Is there anything worse...

    Lions Vs Reds. Bloem.

The next two weeks are the real test for the Reds and will determine if they are pretenders or contenders. If they can pull at least one win and a bonus point then it will be quite an achievement.

Eddies now clearly in the Campo category as a media tart / shock jock.

G&GR Reds Player of the Match (v Lions)

    3. Cooper 2. Hynes 1. Davies Davies injected himself in the way we're used to seeing Ioane. Digby had a quiet one. A. Finger had another great game with some sublime touches and hard, straight running. In the forwards, I thought the front row were all solid but the back row, particularly...
