RWC 2011 - Pool B - Scotland, Romania, England, Georgia, Argentina

If you thought the Romanian forward pack were good yesterday (which they were) wait till you see the Georgian forward pack.

When the choke gets beyond a joke

I think where we lost the game was in the last 1 or 2 min of play when Mat Rogers kicked the ball back to England for possession. Thats where they should have shut up shop, held onto the ball and ground out down the field. Kicking the ball back just gave England the game. The ball didnt even go...

When the choke gets beyond a joke

For it to be a choke - doesnt said team have to be considered the best in their field consistently but can't pull off the big one? If thats the case - when has (appart from probably 1999 - 2001) the wallabies ever considered to be the best? The kiwis have the choke tag because they have...

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

I can't remember exact names as their names are hard at best to pronounce - but their front row and scrum over all are fearsome. I remember watching them in Perth in 2003 thinking that when they have a few years under their belts that they would be competitive, 4 years later I watched them play...

One All Black Cheating thread to rule them all

As much as I hate England winning it- there is a sadistic pleasure in being able to knock the kiwis for 4 years for choking. So I *really* don't want them to win it this time around either. Be so funny if they choke in their own backyard.

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

Oh they are huge - the annual clashes are on par with a bledisloe cup clash between the ABs and the Wobs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=2OsIRU-CERY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY92uy-TkDs&feature=related

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

Great description of where Georgia are at now. They are probably bit below the bottom of the 6 nations. Give them another 15-20 years and they will be another Argentina. They are investing heavily in junior rugby over there at the moment, and it is their number 1 sport. Really hope they can take...

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

There was two instances in world cups before where you would have thought the same! This is France don't forget - the AB's bogey team! As a wobs supporter - I hope they beat the french and finish top of their group - then we don't have to face them till the final.

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

Exactly right - they play a 10 man rugby game because they have no backs, but their forward pack is definitely up there with Argentina/Scotland etc. Scotland dont exactly have a backline either which is why I think they can do it.

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

They are spread throughout the European tournaments. Alot of them play in the French Top 14 with the remainder coming from their local competitions.

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

Im really excited about this world cup as I believe there is possibly going to be some huge upsets. Im not talking about a Samoa beating Wales/South Africa (although they would be considered upsets) . My potential pick for the biggest upset in world cup history will be when Georgia take on...

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Great squad - very happy with it. Glad to see Horwill captain and Samo, Sharpe and other players being rewarded with form.

    Sydney Tah Williams

Ye I wouldn't take any notice of this. Could it be a media driven tactic to maybe get him excluded for the world cup squad for even thinking about it?

    Joost van der Westhuizen

Very sad . A close friend of mine is 34 and got diagnosed with it last year. His deterioration over 1 year has been devestating. unfortunately we can't see him going another 12 months. best thing we could do is make his last days memorable. Poor guy has 3 kids and a wife :( . Feel bad for Joost.

    World Cup Jerseys 2011

I remember when the England jersey came out for the 03 world cup - they were the first to play with the "tight" body fit style. Everyone thought it was faggy, then all of a sudden everyone has them now. Give it 4 years, everyone will have bra's on their jerseys.
