I hear the league got 4.5 million for the State of Origin #1.

Not many prepared to put their views forward prior to the comp.

I actually meant - sad reading for rugby when we are 3 weeks out from a World Cup and the league media thread is the main topic of conversation...but don't let that get in the way of your troll rant. As for the article you refer to, it was 6 months ago in the UAE btw not 6 years. :( But please...

    Sad reading for rugby really.

I don't. As I said, I think he is the best writer in league in Australia. I don't follow league much, but have a soft spot for Easts due to distant family connections. I do buy the SMH every day and think the coverage of rugby is as dire as it ever has been.

Not sure what Israel has to do with French rugby and its pretty dim history.

As the poster above says, South Africa is a separate issue. And not much better unfortunately. All I did was point out the posts here about a subject in rugby history were wrong. Clearly not welcome here.

I don't class myself as an idiot so it was pretty easy to work out who the reference was to!

It isn't well made at all. Stop trying to rewrite history to suit your agenda. Acknowledging what occurred would be far more positive for rugby as a whole. Is it too embarrassing to do so so you attack not even the messenger but someone pointing in the direction of the messenger? My...

Great to see that the blinkers are well and truly on here. No wonder rugby is struggling so much in this country.

I have the book. I know what it is called. It is you that needs to go and read it. Or do you wish to comment on it?

I see. I am a sheep in wolf's clothing because I point out that a noted rugby writer demonstrates that the posts on the subject just above are rubbish! Which parts of Dine's writings do you have issues with?

Most of that is wrong. Like I said, read Dine and educate yourself about what happened in France involving both codes of rugby. It is not flattering to us no matter which way you cut it.

Go the Woods. Great result. Couldn't get there this year.

I suggest you read a bit more about French rugby union history. Start with Dine.

The standard of rugby journalism is truly woeful as has been pointed out in other threads.
