    Sydney Subbies 2017

Tim's email cancelled it, with entry fees being credited to the clubs rego. So I'd say it won't be re-scheduled for this year.

Can we also add in to this all the people who seem to undermine anything positive that happens - i.e The Australian Women win Gold last August and within a fortnight, Papworth et al are changing the rugby discussion whinging about grass-roots (read Shute Shield, agree with everyone above) and...

It's always nice to be noticed - rumours were true for a while as I dislocated my elbow - against Blue Mountains at Lapstone incidentally. Big shout out to my physio Kyle at Function Physio in Gladesville for getting me back on the field this year!

Two 5 year de-registrations, 1 life ban, stopping 2 finals campaigns (2nds and 3rds), 10K bond, + the demotion. They've managed to hit the people responsible as well as the club (and all the players in 2's/3's looking forward to finals) without targeting next years crop. I understand subbies...

This is a penalty harsher than what got served up to the Eels/Storm/Bulldogs. I'm not going to comment on the individual's punishments as I don't know their story but: A) Minus roughly 4-500cc points next year. Effectively a demotion down another grade if they don't have a stellar season. B) -10...

Definitely 2 against the road and then one over between the sheds and the creek I think.

All Div 2 is at Deerubbin as well.

It wasn't dry - the game got moved from Waverley to Forest because of the rain!

Ok - change of Topic for Pfitzy (I feel for you mate) UNSW - kudos to them as they ran their Indigenous weekend on Saturday and had a brilliant jersey plus Gary Ella was down nat the ground to do the Welcome to Country. Their first grade went up 3 tries to nil against us, but some strong...

Agree - and I'll say that at Hunters (like most other clubs I would assume) we have been trying very hard to promote this - although some sidleine spectators are hard to control for clubs as they may have no exisiting ties to the club. Where tputting the blame back on the crowd falls down is...

    Sydney Subbies 2016

Subbies need to make sure all the refs are across the rules for uncontested scrums. Newport have gone uncontested in both 3s and 2s and the second grade ref refused to make them drop the player for near on 20 minutes. After another ref finally had a word to him at half time, Newport miraculously...

Latest is that we are playing on the next wet weather round instead.

Forest V Hunters currently booked in for 25th June. Numbers in lower grades a problem so it was decided to not play this weekend, to get a full round in.

It was a belting for the body! Congratulations to the Waves boys for a really hard game of rugby. Call of the weekend came from the Waves captain/coach with - "respect the ref mate, this isn't soccer".

Most importantly though - is the ref consistent to both teams? If so, errors can always be forgiven, just like dropped balls from forwards (not backs, don't forgive backs...)

    Sydney Subbies 2016

The only way I could see a club forfeiting ones each week without the opposition simply playing ones in twos, would be to make it a forfeit only scoreline for the rest of the year (i.e 28-0 even if you won 50-0). Then the opposition again simply wouldn't care so their key 2's/3's/4's players...

    I can't not like that!

Bit pissed off by this mate, not enough to start name calling but am interested to know what club are you involved with if your going to make statements about us? Could add to the rivalry. On buying premierships - I'm now in my seventh year at Hunters and played firsts for most of it, without...
