    Western Force 2014

Haha, if you can produce quality performances starting in the 6 nations 2 years after leaving a development contract, mistakes were made. I like Rory Walton who got his contract though, he could be the same kind of nuggety fellow for us one day.

    Six Nations 2014

Sam Warburton sure showed that he's a deserving Welsh captain when on song lasty. He needs to find consistency but he's certainly a good communicator and a capable player.

How'd you guys let Jake Ball go?! I'm watching him play for Wales and he's exactly the nuggety tough-stuff kind of lock that we don't usually get in Aus.

    Shute Shield 2014

Please elaborate. Not too much, but enough for it to be gossip worthy.

If they want to give me a job I'm open to discussion and they don't have to pay me very much haha.

Brumbies vs Reds - Saturday 22 February 2014.

I presumed you were talking about the fact they can break out quicker because there's a shoulder free. The reason I disagree with the less effort at LH V TH approach is because the amount of energy used is not accurately measured by force against you, but rather the force you're exerting...

Brumbies vs Reds - Saturday 22 February 2014.

We're talking breaking out of the scrum probably a second or less quicker. If that's really the rational I'd put giant question marks over it, even at an elite level.

I work vaguely in that field.

The 2014 Super Rugby TV Commercial.

Here's an idea for a TVC, interview key Aussie Rugby players (the marketable ones) and have them talk about their most memorable Super Rugby try complete with footage. Izzy could talk about that monster game in SA for example. Finish with the tagline along the lines of: where will you be when...

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2013

Many do. There's much, much more opportunity for a 18-20 yo in league but for a kid (especially if they're eligible for a polynesian nation) there's much more opportunity once they're out of that age bracket, we have semi-pro/pro contracts all over the world that outnumber league 3:1 at least.

    Shute Shield 2014

I wouldn't worry, a club like them in their location are just 2 or 3 years of good decision making away from being competitive. It won't be this year though.

The 2014 Super Rugby TV Commercial.

Well, that's always what matters isn't it. On another note, remember how cool the ARC ads were? Now those were well done rugby ads. Still, it could be worse. We could have that soccer ad with the Fox Sports presenters driving around a truck and challenging them to kick at it and laughing...

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2013

That's an entirely different point and not necessarily a great one. It's a fact that most Super Rugby players come through the Schoolboys program but plenty of them only played for the A side.

    Waratahs 2014

Carraro is a good player and maybe more highly rated by the coaches than we think. I don't think he's coming back to Oz at 29 to sit outside a match day 23 for less money, he's chasing a dream I think.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2013

Yes, what teenage boy with ambitions to be a professional rugby player would want to be involved in the national program AND get a trip around Europe. Not a single one I say!

The 2014 Super Rugby TV Commercial.

It's a nice ad but it fails to inspire or capture the gravitas of the game in the way the TVCs of the AFL and NRL do. It's not bad though. Just very meh.

    Rebels 2014

The trend of naming guys in whatever jersey the coach feels like is really shitting me.

    Rebels 2014

They weren't named that way. But, maybe they switched on game day. http://www.melbournerebels.com.au/news/article/rabodirect-announce-team-for-final-trial

Brumbies vs Reds - Saturday 22 February 2014.

There's the weird trend in world rugby of not naming the bloke that is at the back of your scrum on your own feed as 8 (seeing as they interchange on D). I have a feeling the Brumbies have done it here. JUST PUT THE BLOKE MAKING THE ATTACKING DECISIONS AT THE BACK IN THE EIGHT JERSEY...
