    Rugby Stadiums

It'll still be an inferior match day experience to the SFS. The view won't be as good and the bars are still not going to be anything on the ones in East Sydney. Leave homebush for wallabies games.

    S18 on its way

They'll probably focus on up and comers because they aren't going to get their top players back, the players are in a position of power in this case and aren't going to give up their good wages to play in Super Rugby and have to endlessly travel. Watch the UAR fold when they realise how much...

    Rugby Stadiums

Well for one, because it's about 4 times too big.

    Rugby Stadiums

This upgrade is not going to fix the major issue in that the stands aren't steep enough. Even Bringing the whole stand closer to the pitch doesn't address the fact that the seats are still too far back. They'd literally be better of demolishing it and starting again.

    S18 on its way

This will be a utter farce, only the idiots at Sanzar could think of something as bad as this. Meanwhile Europe sores on ahead with the Champions Cup....

Why is Marto employed as a commentator?

The commentators in all sports here are crap, but Rugby lays claim to the worst of the bunch. Compare anything here to what the UK and Irish sport fans are treated to. Not just commentators who actually do their job and call the play, put pundits who can actually analyse and put forward an...

How to respond to the haka

The reality is that Few in the stands would know that song, let alone the words. The only song that would ever work at rugby is Waltzing Matilda. Everyone knows it, people would get behind it and it has history with rugby union in Australia. For some reason, there's some who whinge about it...

    Kick or hold

In that scenario, under no circumstances should you kick the ball away. Keep things tight, be cynical as fuck and recycle the ball through the forwards towards the sideline (as in forget the Halfback and actually get the forwards to pick and drive to minimise handling errors). Even if you're...

USA v All Blacks Test - Chicago November 2014

I don't think i can get through a full 80 minutes with these commentators. 2 Minutes in and i've already heard Touchdown and Laterals.

    The Pulverisation of Australian Rugby

No they moved to summer for several reasons, the main ones being alignment with the international season, ensure stadium availability and to guarantee that pitches weren't complete mud pits. Even if the other codes didn't exist, playing in winter did no favours for the game. The free space...

    Super Rugby Television Ratings 2014

Caution long hard miserable truth ahead. You've only compared the two professional leagues with each other and not the sports as a whole. Football (Soccer) is more than just the A-League just as Rugby is more than Super Rugby. A-League has 9 teams across the country and will probably add...

    Super Rugby Television Ratings 2014

You're kidding yourself if you still think rugby is third.

How to respond to the haka

They can do whatever they like at home but it's a load of shit that Unions let them do it at away games. The ARU should be looking to get every advantage it can, make them do it in the sheds or just ignore them and practice goal kicking ffs. Anything to get in their heads

    S18 on its way

It'll be a farce if they are actually considering playing in Singapore.

    NRC Crowd Watch

Might well do that mate. Would be a fun exercise. Mind you I don't exactly get paid for being a hypothetical Sports administrator so it could be a while away. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    NRC Crowd Watch

Who gives a fuck that 45k were coming later? They bought tickets for a test match and didn't give a shit about the NRC game. The reality is that about three quarters of fuck all of that 45k turned up and fans who just wanted to watch their team were forced to buy test match tickets.
  17. Melbourne Terrace

    NRC Crowd Watch

45k people showed up to see the Bledisloe, not the NRC. Then you're wrong. There is obviously massive overlap but there are plenty of Rugby fans in Students and Low income earners who have got into the NRC because it's affordable to go compared to Super Rugby and Tests. The fact that the place was...

    NRC Crowd Watch

Sorry I'll change my post to the train without a station school of thought. Every thing is fucking dandy in Australian rugby and we should be happy with absolutely everything, I'm ever so grateful we have competent administrators in the ARU. There is certainly no evidence of mismanagement from...

    NRC Crowd Watch

Even if prices were similar, Suncorp is a totally unsuitable venue for such a game. The NRC is supposed to be about boutique grounds, community atmosphere and 3pm kickoffs. I like going to Brisbane City games because Ballymore offers that and a nice hill to stand on. I never see the point of...

    Matt Giteau

Anyone who is talking down Matt Gitaues current form/achievements in the Top 14, doesn't watch the top 14 or has an inflated view of Super Rugby. If Australia was to pick it's best squad and not just the ones who are in Australia, he'd be a certain selection.
