Question about the value of experience I have been thinking about of late, especially in regards to RWC squad... Is there a great difference in experience between 30/50/70 caps or is it down to the individual player more often than not?

Luke Holmes (Rebels/Tahs) has been floating around Sydney club rugby I think. At 3rd string, he'd be fine - a few QPR games to get him up to scratch and a solid pre season and he'd offer something around the field..

They should sign that hooker from Townsville/QLD Country to boost the profile of that team/comp/country rugby. Would be the first in a while signed from the bush... ha - no idea how good he was though. Plenty of props waiting in the wings that would be ready by 2017/2018: Fa'agese, Talakai...

There is nothing wrong with picking on reputation... Especially if you have the confidence as a coach to play a game plan that suits them and help them to re-find form.

Reality is, even if there was an injury, any of those other blokes cut can get brought into the squad - hell, Chieka named 31 for his 30 man squad so he can do whatever he wants.

Doesn't look half bad. My changes to that would be: Slipper starting for Sio, and I think Chieka will start Phipps (not sure why though...) and he will find a spot for Beale. Maybe with Mitchell starting, Beale on the bench, and Tomane out.

Have captains been chosen to work on off field behaviour as much as on field performance or just Moore?

I think Chieka is Frank Underwood and is sneaky. Convincing/deceiving (too harsh?) blokes into signing back in AUS and having a strong stable to choose from in 2016...

I would put $ on him killing it under Thorn's tutelage.

Didn't think lock was a position Reds were desperate for (Simmons, Neville, Kotze are Super standard; Murday not too far behind) but wouldn't say no to a Wallabies forward for cheap!

Agree - apparently he won't even talk to players like Lachie Turner or Marco Kotze who look like they won't have a contract next year. Whether they deserve one or not isn't the point here. But they are experienced middle tier players (Seasoned wallaby and seasoned Currie Cup) that could do well...

Cordingley has too much say with the recontracting of players. There are a few experienced lads who aren't being shown any respect by him re. their future at the Reds. SC has played these shenanigans before, like with Albert Anae and left a bad taste in many player's mouths.

Scrubber there are blokes outside him... You can't say that Kerevi hasn't been great - Kuridrani has been strong. The Brand could hardly put 2 games back to back and was out of form, Hunt was quiet - but hardly withdraws from Quade's worth. He's worth more money because he puts people on seats...
