RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

Mate I made a motza on the game! After seeing them play the Aus Barbarians I thought they were great. Specially DTH. I mean it was not a shoe in , it was a close game, but just really surprises me someone of Horan's ilk is reporting their "first world cup victory" .. when they made the quarters...

RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

Don't understand why many are calling canada's result yesterday an upset - they have beaten Tonga the last few times they have played! Also Tim Horan incorrectly reported in todays courier mail that it was Canada's first world cup victory - they made the quarters in 1991!, they also beat Namibia...

I went from 355 points at the beginning of today - to 305... also I note that someone said above that no Australians made the dream team , yet my mrs has pocock in her dream team and she said he is part of it as he has a star next to his name?

    The most competitive RWC ever

Yep real excited about Georgias game on Wednesday. Craig Dowd is in the same mind as me. he has been bleating on all year about georgia beating the scots on the sportal podcast. he even commented on the fact that the georgians have a scarier forward pack than the romanians.

The Kiwis are rigging the World Cup so they can win.

Also - wilkinson said himself there was no wind so I wonder what it was, just a co-incidently offnight for both kickers probably. "Maybe the stands are a bit low and you have to aim at something different but the surface was perfect and of course there was no wind!"

RWC 2011 - Pool B - Scotland, Romania, England, Georgia, Argentina

The betting market on Georgia is firming by the day . I wanted to place a bet on them weeks ago where they probably would have paid 20+ to 1... their market opened at 10 to 1 after the romania game, and has firmed to 9.5 to 1 in the last 24 hours...

nah no need to delte the thread- its more a discussion of the ball , but I thought it would be more apt to keep the cheating accusations up :D.

Dunno . But I have heard unoffical reports that the ball *is* different but hasn't necessarily affected kicking practice. But its not often you see such inconsistent kicking from sharp shooters. Especially wilkinson who is hard press to miss one kick let alone get 2 from 7 .

The Kiwis are rigging the World Cup so they can win.

Well thats why i ask how Carter did on Friday - I was too pissed to remember and I was cooking the BBQ. I thought that it might have just been an off night for wilkinson and contepomi, but after seeing every kick today and yesterday - im not so sure. I thought the romanian kicker was just crap...

The Kiwis are rigging the World Cup so they can win.

They know that the Northern Hemisphere teams can win when they can't kick goals (they can't score tries) , so they come out with a ball that none of the sharp shooters can use :lmao: . Its probably a good thing though , means that teams that score tries will win :D .
