    Wallabies 2023

I see Frost as a very similar lock to Arnold, with Frost having more upside. I would not have picked Skelton a month ago, but he has impressed me with his off the bench contributions. The four locks I would be taking to the WC would be Frost, Phillip, Skelton and either Neville or Rodda, throw...

Having watched him play since his Force days, I really like the skill set and attitude of Anaru Rangi. His set piece work is as good as any other Australian hooker. He is a fit, disciplined and thinking footballer, something we are missing in the two jumper.

I was hoping DR would have sent Gordon home after the Italian game and flew Fines-Leleiwasa over to replace Gordon. IFL has a good pass, is quick to the breakdown and is always challenging the Pillar and post defence.

I would drop Foley completely out of the twenty three and let Noah play ten behind a lot stronger pack and a better and more familiar nine. I know this is from left field, do you have to use the full complement of subs in a game? It’s not under ten’s anymore.

Wallabies v Italy, Florence, Sun 13th Nov 12am AEDT

Parts of the game last night reminded me of how we played under Chieka, Gordon and Robertson giving away dumb off the ball penalties, not clearing the ball out of our twenty two urgently enough and giving away three points. We are now, and have been for a while, that team that can score points...

Not sure where to post this, I recall reading five or six weeks ago that RA were close to a PE deal. Could it be that the deal has been done and they are waiting for the Wallabies to finish the NH tour before making an announcement. Has anyone heard any whispers?

Solid team rodha, I would prefer Frost at 5 and Phillip onto the bench. Swinton at 6 if Tom Hooper doesn’t hold his current form and Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) at 14. I like the inclusion of BPA.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Noah gets the ten shirt against the French, he played well against them two years ago and his kicking was around 90%.

Some goods points Half, if we were to add another Australian team plus the Drua playing each other twice it would work out to forty two games before the finals compared to twenty games in the original Super Rugby AU. An extra twenty two games to sell to Stan.

I would start off with your first eight teams Viking, two full home and away rounds and a five team finals series. Followed by a super six comp made up of the top two teams from Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Australia A v Japan XV matches

Japan devastated at losing on the last play and Australia A absolutely over the moon to get the win. Shows how emotionally invested both teams were in the game.

I thought Lonergan and Pollard also played well, keeping in mind they don’t start for the Brumbies. Lonergan quick to the ruck and related to the referee respectfully.

Sorry, I cannot see by any stretch of the imagine how you can compare Goromaru to the five players that I have nominated.

Bringing Kerevi back to a super club lifts that clubs profile domestically and globally, attracting more support and sponsorship, it makes the club more competitive and lifts the teams rugby IQ and helps retain and attract players to your club. If I could chose an international player for each...

I would have Jackson Pugh on his Auckland form over Wells.

I agree, but hooker is a position that is far from being locked in by any of the 2’s that played there in the last two years. Who would you pick at hooker? I still see potential in Kaitu’u.

Not with the current team, but with Vunivalu, Kerevi, Cooper,Rodda, Mafi and Swinton in the mix, the Wallabies become a smarter and tougher team to play against.
