Peters 40 - Lauries 17. Peters forwards provided a good enough platform for their Backs to run all over Lauries. Lauries did spend long periods camped on Peters try line but SPLC defence was pretty solid. Lauries didn't help themselves with a huge number of missed passes in the back line, so...

Well done to Villanova 1st XV for a good win against SPLC (38-24 ?). Just too big and powerful. Backs managed to shut down SPLC pretty effectively. Well done to St.Peters for a 6-3 Aggregate result away from home. Wins for 13A,14A,15B,15A,16s and 2ndXV.

Just one intercept try the difference, don't think the other teams have too much to worry about. SPLC centres able to line break regularly and break tackles and smaller pack held their own also.

Agreed. This quote from Iona waiting on their try line for an SPLC conversion kick, minus a few expletives :"c'mon boys, win this one and we've got the Premiership!". Agree. A very clear strategy to use strong Ashgrove forwards but almost felt sorry for the backs as they were almost left out of the game entirely.

Peters 26 - Ashgrove 24. Penalty to St.Peters with 40 seconds to go. Restart caught recycled and kicked into touch. Ashgrove scored through very disciplined multiphase Pick and Go and penalty kicks. St.Peters through penalty kicks and backs. Good work up front by both teams.

Peters beat Lauries circa 52-24 (not sure of final conversion by Laurie's). 17 each at half time, Laurie's through disciplined rumbling forwards, Peters through backs that cut loose in second half.
